The Rescue Trust of North West Golden Retriever Club Introduction The trustees present their report and the Receipts and Payments Account for the year ended 31# December 2024. Objects ond status The Rescue Trust of North West Golden Retriever Club (The Trust) has the following objectives: for the benefit of the pubSic to relieve the suffering of golden retrievers who are in need of care and attention by the provision of a rehoming service; the provision of free medical and surgical treatments for animals whose owners are unable to afford the fees of private veterinary surgeons. The Trust is a charity registered in England & Wales, Registration number 1122991. Governance The trust is governed by a constitution dated 23 February 2008. Trustees are appointed by the existing Board of Trustees after appropriate search procedures and assessment. Trustees The Trustees who served during the year and at the date this report was signed were: Patrlcla Blackburn Samantha Mid8ley Afflllation The Trust is affiliated to the North West Golden Retriever Club Financial Report The Trustees have assessed the level of cash reserves available to the charity and they consider that these are reasonable in the light of future plans and the anticipated level of activity. Risk The trustees have undertaken a review of the risks to which the charity is exposed, and they are satisfied that adequate plans are in place to mitigate those risks. The Rescue Trust of North West Golden Retriever Club Independent examinees report to the trustees of The Rescue Trust of North West Golden Retriever Club I report on the accounts of The Rescue Trust of North West Golden Retriever Club for the year ended 31st December 2024 which are set out on page 3. Respective responsibilities of the Trustees and Examiner The charity's trustees are responsible forthe preparation of the accounts. The charivs trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 144 of the Charities Act 2011 (the Charities Act} and that an independent examination is needed. It is my responsibility to: Examine the accounts under section 145 of the Charities Act: Follow the procedures laid down in the General Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(51(b) of the Charities Act and State whether particular matters have come to my attention. Basis of independent examiner s report My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commissioner5. An examination includes a review of accounting records kept by the charity and comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and the seeking of explanations from you as the committee concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be qUired in an audit and, consequently. I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts and no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a 'true and falr view. My report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below. Independent examinerfs statement In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention I, Which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements: To keep accounting records in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act and To ppare accounts which accord with the accounting records and to comply with the accounting requirements of the Charities Act have not been met; or 2. To which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
