Charity comm￿10n on 20 February 2LK18. The principal activiry of the Company is to
promote. develop. improve and maintain education and appreciation of clwical music for the
benefit of the public.
The objects of the charity are set out in its governi￿ d￿MenL.

The TnLSt recruits as nece&wy through peTsonal associatiOTLS and contacts who are otherwise
involved in or interested in the arts. Current Tntstees meet potential Tntstees and discuss
their suitability before a FU￿ decision is takn The Tn￿ee8 meet between 3 and 4 times a
year. In addiuon. there are meetin8s with inthvidual trustees. outside fonnal meetings, to
discuss projects and ￿lI￿e$.

driving Pa￿lon. focusing particularly on Handd's music. The year 2024-2025 continued the
pattern of previo￿* years with a busy perfornwwe schedule of concerts, workshops. and
education events.
Each year P￿B seeks to expand its prtfolio of festivals and venues to E￿Orn1 at. and the year
2024-2025 new one5 added. 83 well as welcome reti)rn visits to venues and PTOmOteT3
where BSB has a long-established relationship. During the year 202¥2025 concerts featured
the core members of BSB, Rachel Harris and Kathryn Pary (violins), Taty Theo (￿ll0), and
carol￿ Gibley (harysichord). and v4as joined for additional con￿rtS by nauti￿reCOrder
player lisete da Silva Bull, tenor David de Winter and lute/theorbo player Lynda Say￿. as
well a5 artoTslnaTfatOTS Simon Schatzberger and Mark BennetL
Autumn 2024 saw perfornwices in various concert serie& two of which were new for the
group: gave a chamber recital on 24 November for Cromer Music Evenings (North
Norfolk). F￿OrMIng its new Handel and Telemann prograrnll￿ Trienthj?and￿OWer$-to
a packed alldien￿ at The Belfy. On 26November &SB revisited its well￿"ch khutz- 8
Genrlan in Vemce-programme with tenor David de Winter. for a concert at ImEwial College
London's Rwh Hour Recitals series. in Holy TTiniry thurch. KeJJsingtorn BSB returned to
Norwich Chapel Cmcerts on 22 De￿rnber for its longstanding annual (￿riS￿ concert,
again joined by tenor David de Wllrter.
BSB enjoyed an R&D ￿riC￿ in Norwich from 18-Xb February. working on re[￿rtOire and
ideas in collabjrdtion with actor Simon Scbatzlwer. This featured music for two violin&
cello. haTP5ichord and narrator, induding a cOnteM￿rary piece, $￿IallY arranged for ￿$B
by composer Errollyn Wallen CBE Ma&er ofthe Ki￿$ Mwic
This was followed by a Min1-tth￿ in Marth to venues in t￿ndOn (14 March, Heath Street
Baptist alurch). Norwich (16 March. A#embly House) and Devon (30 Marth SL Peterfs
Churth. U8b)rou8b).
Alongside this. BSB delivered an advanced cbamber mwic workshop day (29 March, Devon)
and gave con￿rtS to prinwy and secondary sth(K)I pupi]s iDUgborough (31 March).

BSB made its first visit to the National Qntre for Early Music (N￿M) in York from 13-15
May 2015. This was for a perid of rehearsal and a live-sueamed concert for the 2025 Young
Q)mposeTs Award project. held in conjunction with the NCEM and Radio 3. com￿1$erS were
given a brief to write a 4-minute ple￿ of music (inspired by Handel's Trio Sonatas Opus 5)
for BSB'S two violins. cello. and ha￿￿1chor¢l RSB rehearsed and workshopped 8 new pieces
of music (selected from over 50 initial entties) in two categories- 18 and under, and 19-25 -
chcM)sin8 a final winner from each category. The winning pieces - Kit McCarthVs MoJren
Kaleidoscopeand Avram Harris's Traosiejjt Vanations- feature in a Radio 3 broadcast, part of
BSB'S love.&landel festival in (ktober 21Y25.
May also saw BSB return to Birniingham's Barber Institute of Fine Ans (after an absence of
more than 10 years) for a packed lUnCht￿e recital on Zl May. joined by fiautist Iasete da
Silva Bull.
Early July saw the start of the love:Handel 2025 education proieLt s￿l0Ds (Worksho￿ and
concert perf0tlnanc￿), with a visit to Bawburgh sch(￿ from Tatty and Carolyn. The
majority of this work. with multiple visits to Norfolk primary and secondary schooL8) took
place in the following year (2{￿-2)26) and will feature in the activity reFK)rt foT that year.
On 18 July BSB returned to Sa]tb￿ in North Norfolk to ￿rfOrnI In the Summu concert
series, making their third appearnnce tbere, with a date scheduled for 2ff26 ttj).

Summer Sel￿￿)1 and FestivaL held at Gresham's Scbwl in HolL again kindly supp)rted by the

BSB ended the month with a sold-out concert on Z3 August for Great Comp Music Festival in
Kent in their delightful Barn, vknich last visited in 2)1&
