HAPsI has been active to raise funds for the support of the Indian registered charity Awake Trust. This Indian charity is caring for 60 destitute children in the Dindigul area of Tamil Nadu, south India. The Awake Home has been established in a rural area which has good schools and HAPsI has supplied funding for a good living space and separate accommodation blocks for the boys and the girls.

Objects: 3. Application Of Income The Trustees Must Apply The Income Of The Charity In Furthering The Following Objects ("The Objects")object 1.To Advance In Life And Alleviate Poverty Of Young People In South India By:(a) Providing Consultancy, Professional And Financial Support To The Awake Mercy Trust Or Other Selected Indian Registered Charities Which Exist To Improve Conditions Of Life.(b) Providing Support Which Develops Their Skills, Capacities And Capabilities To En Able Them To Participate In Society As Mature And Responsible Individuals.object 2.To Promote Sustainable Development Within Chosen Disadvantaged Communities In South India By:(a) The Encouragement Of Capacity Building To Relieve Poverty And Improve Conditions Of Life.(b) The Promotion Of Sustainable Means Of Achieving Economic Growth And Regeneration, Paying Due Regard To The Protection Of The Local Environment.sustainable Development Is That Which Meets The Needs Of The Present Chosen Communities Without Compromising The Ability Of Future Generations To Meet Their Own Needs.
