Chairpersons Report 2022-2023
The main project this year is the building of a Safe house for vulnerable young girls. There was a very long delay from the lawyers in Mombasa with the documentation over the ownership of the land but after 4 years it was finally settled. The Ground floor is almost complete and work has started on the first floor,
The teachers/ staff wages are in keeping but the medical and food expenses have risen considerably due to the exchange rate.
The desks in Baby class and PP1 had to be replaced with new wooden ones as the plastic furniture had become brittle and had perished.
Some parts of the school had to be repainted; the rest will be done at a later date.
The hot water heater also broke down due to the slightly salty water in the system causing a blockage in the pipework. A new more efficient heater has been installed.
The charity is also supporting students, who have done well in their final exams at CHinK academy, who are at college and 3 students who are at University. Well done to then all
