Report of the trustees for the year ended 30 November 2022.
The trustees present their annual report and financial statements of thé charity for the year ended
30 November 2022. The financial statements of the Charity, which is a public benefit entity under
FRS 102, have been prepared in accordance with the accounting policies set oul on pages 4748
and comply with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland
IFRS102), the Accounting and Reporting by Charities.. Statement of Recommended Praclice
applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Stsndard
applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 102} (Charities SOPR (FRS102} and the Charities
Act 2011 or Companies Act 2006.
structure. governance and management
Ailana Charity Ltd was established by the above- m8ntioned trustees in 2007 for raising funds from
trustees. own resource to support education, improve the health and living conditions from South
East Asia and Sub Saharan Africa to World wide.
New Trustees are appointed by the existing trustees by unanimous vote.
Existing trustees al the end of Iheir term can put themselves forward for re- appointment.

At the quarterty truste8s' m88tings, the trustees agree the broad strategy and areas of activities for
the chartty, induding consideration of grant making, risk management policies and performance.
Dr A M Mukadam is responsible for the day to day administration of grants and Ihe processing and
handling of applications prior to consideration.
None of the trustees received any remuneration for the work carried out for Allana Charity Ltd during
the cu￿ent financial year. Al Trustees are required to disdose all relevant interest and register them
with Chief Executive and in accordance wilh the chartiy policy withdraw from decisions where a
conflict of interest arises.
Risk Managemont
Th8 trust88s have considered the major risks to which the charily is exposed. All risks are reviewed
on regular basis at AGM and policies which are in line with the charity commissions guidance.
Allana charity currently has in place a charity commission compliant risk managemenl policy and
has robust syslems and procedures to manage risk.
The fund raised primarily by donalions from the trustees and around 120/0 donations are from
close friends. In the Current fsnancial year donations has increased by 82.50C/Io.
Trustees regularty discuss risk of sending the grants to areas of conflict
mentioned in the Memorandum and articles of association. An updated
goveming document has been submitted to the Charity Commission for their consent.
ObiectiVo5 and Activat8S
The objeGts of the charty are the promotion of education, financial hardship relief and health
improvement through making grants to appropriate institutions and individuals. The Charity confirms
that they have referred to the guidance contained in the Charity Commission's general guidance
on public benefits when reviewng the Trusl's aims and objectives and in planning future activities and
setting the grant making policies for Ihe year.
The charity carries out these objects by.'-
11) Providing fund to individuals lo support their educational needs including subsistence while
in education;
12) Providing funds to charities. individual and other bodies who have passed Allana charity Ltd
due diligence process to support activitie5 in the objects of the charity;
13) Providing funds fof building of educational institutions:
14) Providing funds to individuals for their health and wellbeing cost.
15) Providing funds for humanitarian activities for individuals and institutions..
(61 Providing funds for relief of the sick-poor living in either generally or individually through
the provision of grants, goods or services.,
(71 Providing financial support for funeral expenses of the deceased of all races and religions.
Financial support will be extended to the deceased who cannot afford. A funeral will be in
accordance wilh religious rites or according to their last will and testament, due to lack of
monies;
(8) Providing financial support for repatriation of the deceased mortal remains lo their country
of origin if requested by the deceased in their will or by their families.

The grants from the charity have achieved:_

(21 direct financFal support to the families suffering the financial difficulty and health
problems.

The charity is entirely reliant on the donation from it's trustees and dose friends. In 2022, the
income increase by 82.50 10 compared to 2021. However, the grants ware iricreased by
49.45 /0 when Gompared to 2021.

The trustees will undertake the followng wortdwide activities in the next year-.

statements for each finanGi81 year which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the
charity and of the incoming resources and application of resources of the charity for that

The financial statements of the Charity, which is a public benefit entlty under Financial Reporting
standard 102, have been prepared under the historical cost convention in accordan￿ with the
Financial Reporting Standard Applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS102). the
Accounting and Reporting by Charities.. Statement of Recommended Practice applicable lo
charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable
in the UK and Republic of Ireland {FRS102) (Charities SORP IFRS10211 and the Charities Act 2011
and Companies Act 2006.

Restricted income funds are funds thich are to be used in accordance with specific restrictions
imposed by the donor and trust deed.
Unrestricted income funds comprise those funds which the trustees are free to use for any purpose
of Ihe charitable objects.

All incoming resources are recognised once the charity has entidement to the resources.
