|During July the Trust visited three local primary schools, who were set to represent the Cherries<br>in the Premier|||
|League Primary Stars tournament.|||
|StKatharine's<br>School, Hamworthy<br>Park Junior School and StIves all won their respective competitions|and||
|were due to participate<br>in the final at Watlicrd<br>in May against the 19other Premier League clubs.|||
|The tournaments<br>were unable togo ahead due to Covid-1 9, but the trust wanted to make sure that the children|||
|wars all rewarded<br>for their efforts.|||
|The visit involved<br>spending<br>an hour working<br>with the players<br>in a coaching session,<br>much<br>like they would have|||
|in the build-up to the tournament<br>end at ths end ofthe session, each ofthe players were rewarded<br>with|their||
|own AFC Sournemouth<br>match<br>kit, which again they wouid have worn at the tournament<br>and kept for themselves|||
|following the event.|||
|Schools Projects|||
|The Trust offers a range ofdNerent school project lessons, delivered to local schools across the Dorset and|||
|Hampshire<br>Regions.|||
|The workshops<br>look at important<br>themes throughout<br>everyday<br>life, Safer Kids Online, Respect and Citizenship,<br>Road Soccer Safety, Healthy<br>Lifestyles snd Equality,<br>Diversity and Inclusion.|||
|Each lesson isfree ofcharge and can be tailored for different age ranges wilhin<br>Primary<br>and Secondary|||
|Schools. Within each lesson, there are PowerPoint<br>pressnlations,<br>group discussions<br>and/ or individuall|small||
|group tasks, as well as activity sheets and tasks to complete atvarious points within the lessons.|||
|Safer Iods Online|||
|The Safer Kids Online programme<br>isa popular workshop<br>delivered to local schools. The lesson, supported<br>by|||
|ESETUK, educates young people on how to remain safe whilst using the internet.|||
|The classroom-based<br>lesson addresses<br>the children's<br>most common uses ofthe internet<br>and develops|on the||
|safely features and age ranges for each ofthese different applications<br>and wsbsitss.|||
|This lesson touches on keeping<br>profiles secure, as well as what content should be kept private and not|shared||
|with others online.|||
|Towards the end ofthe lesson, the children<br>look at different scenarios which they may face online, and|at how||
|the parbcipants<br>would deal with each individual<br>situation.|||
|In addition,<br>the children complete worksheets<br>with some top tips on privacy settings, as well as completing a|||
|Helping<br>Hand task, which focuses on who they can speak towhen they sre womed<br>online, and the prevention|||
|methods to stopping<br>people from talking to them online.|||
|During February, the Trust supported<br>Sal'er Internet Day 2020 with the delivery of Internet<br>Safety Workshops||to|

|A table was set up in the fan zone ahead ofthe garne, where the young supporters<br>could||complete|an Internet||
|Safety themed<br>quiz, ss well sscolect a sticker and meet the Dorset Police msscots.|||||

|atCorpus Christi Primary<br>held by both the Community<br>Sports Trust and the Dorset Police team.|||||

|profile whilst also considering<br>their scions in situations<br>they could face when online.|||||
|Respect and clazenshlp|||||
|The Respect and Citizenship<br>workshop<br>looks at how children's<br>love for sport and|footbafi|and AFC|||
|Boumemouth<br>can be linked to help encourage<br>positive behaviour.|||||
|The lesson touches on both respectful and disrespectful<br>behaviours<br>in everyday|life, before taking||a more in-||
|depth look at respect within football, illustrated<br>through<br>presentsfions<br>and videos.|||||
|Project sponsor, Goadsby, has also created workshop<br>booklets which are given to Primary School|||pupils|to aid|
|their learning<br>within the subject. The booldets include fun activities and games, whilst also showing|||examples of||
|hcw we can show respect in Football.|||||
|The lesson encourages<br>the pupils to share ideas within<br>small group discussions,|whilst<br>inspiYing them to||||
|demonstrate<br>positive and respscfful<br>behaviours<br>within the classroom.|||||
|The final task for the children<br>istocreate a poster, demonstrating<br>why respecfful|behaviour<br>is important|||in ever|

|During<br>November<br>the Trust supported<br>Anti-Bullying<br>Week across Dorset.|||||
|Pre-recorded<br>lessons wem sent around to local schools, whfie some sessions were also||delivered|in person||
|with safety protocols<br>in place.|||||
|Overall, 36classes benefitted<br>from the scheme, while there were also virtual workshops||which ran|every|day|
|via Zoom and had over 50 participants.|||||
|Local real estate firm, Goadsby,<br>have announced<br>their partnership<br>and support for the scheme for|||a seventh||
|consecutive season.|||||
|Read SoccerSafety|||||
|The SoccerSafety School lessons are designed<br>to help educate children<br>on how|to be safe when travelling||||
|within the local community<br>and is supporled<br>by Yellow Buses|||||
|The workshop<br>looks closely at travelling,<br>using a variety ofdifferent methods,<br>including<br>buses, cars, cycling and|||||
|on foot, along with how to behave appropriately<br>and how to be safe when using these different forms of|||||
|transport.|||||
|Children<br>will then look at different crossings and how they work differently.|||||
|The lesson then shows videos to help the young people identify hazards,<br>before|completing a spot the hazards||||
|sheet to finish.|||||
|During<br>March, before the pandemic,<br>the Trust visited Parldield<br>School tospread|the message ofroad safety.||||
|Steve Cuss snd his team delivered aworkshop<br>in the classroom on staying safe,|as well|as taking|a PE|lesson|
|in the school's sports hall.|||||

|MENTalk Group||||
|Since fsovember 2019,the Trust in partnership<br>with Wessex Cancer Trust, had been holding|monthly|MENTalk||
|meetings.||||
|Due to the implications<br>ofthe pandemic,<br>the monthly<br>meetings<br>at Vitality Stadium were swapped forzoom||||
|sessions three times aweek. The group meet on Monday, Wednesday.<br>and Friday mornings|for45 minutes to|||
|catch up with each other, often talking about issues relabng to Cancer or instead speaking about matters ofa||||
|different subject||||
|MENTslk is designed to enable men to come together to share knowledge<br>and experiences|whilst encouraging|||
|and supporting<br>each other. They will also be able to learn skills to help them deal with stress|and adjust to their|||
|changing<br>situation.||||
|Additionally,<br>it will provide a sal'e place totalk openly about feelings and fears, and will be led by a trained||||
|facilitator and attended<br>by cancer specialists.||||
|Wessex Cancer Trust already<br>runs well-attended<br>MENTalk groups at its Support Centres<br>in|Cosham|and||
|Watemide,<br>Hythe.||||
|Wessex Cancer Trust isa charity which was set up specifically<br>to provide emotional<br>and pracbcal support to||||
|anyone<br>living with cancer in the Wessex region, but men make up just 22%ofclients accessing their||support||
|services. This is despite them being 16%more likely to receive a cancer diagnosis<br>and 40%more likely to die||||
|hom the disease.||||

|The Trust isworking<br>in partnership<br>with MYTIME Young Carers to offer support tothe young|people|involved|in|

|The games, which have been developed<br>in line with the Joy ofMoving methodology,<br>are suitable for all abilibes||
|and help toencourage<br>children toget moving<br>through<br>play.||
|Throughout<br>Februwy, the Joy ofMoving virtual Winter Games<br>will be shared with families and teachers across||
|the country<br>with the help ofover 70 EFLTrust dub community<br>organisations.||
|Whilst schools remain closed for many children, the Winter Games supports<br>families at acrucial time when|itis|
|even more important<br>for children to stay active and toachieve the recommended<br>60 minutes ofactivity each||
|day.||
|Together with the EFLTrust, the Joy ofMoving programme<br>has been supporting<br>children toget active across||
|EFLCommunities<br>for over seven years and it is based on methodology<br>which fs designed<br>to inspire children|to|
|move through<br>play.||
|AFC Bournemouth<br>Community<br>Sporls Trust, Ringwood<br>Town Council and Ringwood<br>Town Football Club are||
|excited to announce<br>a partnership<br>to develop the facilities at Long Lane, Ringwood.||
|The three organisations<br>are being supported<br>by New Forest District Council, the Football Foundation<br>and||
|Hampshire<br>County FA to help bring the vision into fruition,<br>with an applicabon<br>for planning<br>permission<br>to be||
|submitted<br>soon.||
|The significant<br>investment<br>into the re-development<br>at Long Lane represents<br>an opportunity<br>to develop an||
|excellent sporting<br>and social facility for the town ofRingwood.||
|The site will continue to be the home ofRingwood<br>Town FC and will enable staff and players associated<br>with||
|AFC Boumemouth's<br>Community<br>Sports Trust to be based on sile. Crucially, a number ofcommunity||
|programmes<br>will also be based on site and all in the one location.||
|The phased development<br>will comprise of:a new full size 3G Srlilicial turf pitch (ATP), improvements<br>to existing||
|grass pitches, redeveloping<br>the car park and a new pavilion<br>with changing<br>rooms.||
