Bringing relief of unemployment Summary of the main activities in relation to those purposes for the public benefit, in particular, the activities, projects or services identified in the accounts. Para 1.17 and 1.19 The purpose of Life Bridging Works ILBWI is to give a hand up not a hand-out. This means that the empowering of local, indigenous leaders is at the core of the charity's focus. All LBW actlvities in this period continued to be performed in conjunction with local, indigenously led churches that we have a connection with. These good works in turn naturally warm people to the church and empower si8nificant community members, with the result of advancing the Christian message and hope to others within the communty that the good work is performed in. This work is then 5UPPOrted by our specialist teams and UK based trustees who are in contact both through virtual communication and through physical travel to see the projects in their location. Thi5 year has brought growth in a number of the activities that take place through the support of the local church.. Hiring another Top05an Bible translator so that this project may continue to grow and see its goal reached. Meeting with key leaders in conference5 in a number of countries

for teaching. fellowship and vision setting. EnablinB the purchase of land for another safe house to support vulnerable individuals and families who are fleeing from persecution and abuse. Helping to provide support for widows and orphans who are connected to a number of house churches we work with. Enabling the completion of the health clinic in Kapoeta. Enabled key leaders to travel to deal with pastoral concerns. Working closely with partners in North Uganda. Enable Christian leaders in Kenya to gather for theological training and encouragement, Enabling Salt and Light Outreach Ministries leaders from South Sudan to gather for teach ing and discipleshipi and pastor5 to do Discovery Bible study in village churches. Life Bridging Works helps advance education of the public by: Providing education to d isadvantaged children through two sponsorship Schemes. We currently sponsor 24 children and young people from an area of Southern Sudan who attend Kuleu Lights School. There are many orphans and disadvantaged children there due to the recent conflict. From our original sponsorship scheme with the Toposa people we continue to also support I student through to their University level studies in Medicine. The remaining students that we sponsored through university are now returning to support the community that they are from in a number of different ways. Our second sponsorship scheme runs in Alebtongi Northern Uganda, at Blessed Hope School where we are 5UPPOrting the m05t in need children from these deprived areas. There are currently 25 children being supported on this scheme. So, in tota we are sponsoring 49 children/young people. We hope to use the finances that we have been using for the original sponsorship scheme to

increase our Primary education schemes in South Sudan. Development of educational establishments. We are currently raising funds for a primary school in Ethiopia working primarily with girls. Life Bridging Works helps provide relief of sickness & the preservation of health by: Continuing to support the equipping of a health centre/ clinic which provides basic health advice and services in Kapoeta. South Sudan. The clinic will be managed and staffed by indigenous former students sponsored through medical schools by Life Bridging Works. Working with South Sudan NGO'S Hocfo and Medical Missions to provide Village Health programmes to remote areas around Kapoeta in South Sudan. These pro8rammes speak about public and sexual health, whilst trained medical professiona15 also diagnose and treat illnesses and inju ries for those who cannot attend the clinic. Providing famine emerEency relief during the periods of drought across East Africa. This has been required due to another season of failed crops. Starting the building of a safe house for those in abusive situations or fleeing from persecution to provide sanctuary whilst they rebuild their lives. Life Bridging Works help bring relief from unemployment by.. Small Business Start Fund5, including funds to help towards the set-up of several shops. Its education programme: young people that are educated are more employable. Fund5 given for development work,. local builder5 are employed to complete the work.
