AnnualTrustees Report for Peter Pan Preschool Charity No. 1122507 EY358316 FLeckney Vlllage Hall, 2The Parade, Fleckneyi Leics, LE8 8AY Report prepared April 2024for the period 1st September 2023- 31st August 2024 Head of Trustees. Father Philip O'Reilly Manager of Peter Pan Preschool: Rachel Skinner Peter Pan Preschool caters for preschool chiLdren aged 2-4 years old, with its main aim to teach children, socialise them and prepare them to start school and be wholly readyfor this. As well as this, any special educationaL needs that the child is suspected to have are addressed and any additionaL assistance and support in place is put in place ( or EHCP applied for), ready for when they start school. The premises we rent out is used for other purposes on the two days of the weekwe are not open so we are unabLe to expand on our opening days. Unfortunatelythe premises was badly flooded 8t the beginning of January 2024 so we h8d to relocate forthe whole of thatterm and relocate to a nearby church hall whilst repairs were undertaken and we sorted , replaced and repaired our equipment, 8 lot of which was stored in the flooded back storeroom and involved 8 Lot of hard and extra work as well as meaning thatwe lost a week otfunding as well as being restricted on the new children we could recruit over this time. Since moving backto our permanent premises of FleckneyvilLage hall we have contlnued to take on more 2 year olds in order to stand us in good st8ad forthe future. However, to adhere to legal Adult: Child ratios, we have had to hire another member of staff in the mornings so that for a while we had to have 6 members of staff at the setting. All staff are on minimum legal wage with the manager on only 20p more than this per. hour. We have an average of 15-20 children attending in the morningwith 12-14 of these staying aLI day. We have not had an Ofsted inspection in the past 3 years but continue to strive to improve and develop. All staff are qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 2 in childcare & development or equivalent and 3 members of staff are qualified to Level 3. Peter Pan continues to take part in various community activities such as the annuaL Christmas tree festival at the Ioc8L church as weLL as going there for our own small seNice once a term. We also go on small Localvisits such as to the local school to watch their productions, visits to the local Greengrocer, as well as to the locaLvicar's garden for our annualteddy bear's picnic. Our aim for the future is to continue to provide a high level of care and education for our children and to continue to increase the numbers of chiLdren we admit to keep the preschool sustainable forthe future, especially with the introduction of the extended early Years Funding. We wouLd like to thank FLeckney Village Hall committee for their help and continued support and for giving us a reduced rent. Rachel Skinner Manager

Registered Charity No: 1122507

Independent Examiner’s Report to the Trustees of Peter Pan Pre-School

I report on the accounts of the Peter Pan Pre-School Fleckney for the year ended 31[st] August 2024.

Respective Responsibilities of the Trustees and the Examiner

The charity’s trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The trustees consider that an audit of the accounts is not required for this year under the relevant Charities Act but that an independent examination is needed.

It is my responsibility to:

Basis of Independent Examiner’s Report

My examination was carried out in accordance with the general directions given by the Charity Commission. The examination included a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. Samples of various documents & bank statements were cross-checked against the written income and expenditure records. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required for an audit and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a ‘true and fair view’. The report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.

Independent Examiner’s Statement

I have completed my examination in accordance with the Charities Act and confirm that there is nothing contained in the Financial Records of the Peter Pan Pre-School Charity No: 1122507 that gives me cause to believe that the information now presented to me is incomplete or inaccurate.
