To that end , during the year, the Trustees continued marketing and publishing the Fred Foundation to a wider public both using our website and regular blog and social media. The Covid 19 restrictions this year have severely restricted fundraising. In total we helped 27 families.

Section D Achievements and performance
Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year
During 2021 the charity’s ability to fund raise was severely restricted due to Covid 19 restrictions. However, two supporters ran the Royal Parks Half Marathon near their own homes and raised around £14,000.
A number of online fundraising initiatives continued - Smile Amazon, PayPal, Easyfundraising, but our income was also from donors directly. Their continued support was much appreciated by the Trustees.
Bearing in mind this was the second year of fundraising restrictions the Trustees agreed to refocus the aim to gain the most benefit from our limited resources. To this end we concentrated on funding families who were preparing for Tribunal . In general we can afford to give funds which will allow families to gather enough data to present to Tribunal as part of a case to win specialist help for their child. Therapists are now allowed to visit children in their homes so the programs are able to take place. However, we are finding more and more families are looking to companies to manage their program rather than manage therapists directly.
As usual, we reply to every e mail and try and support families even if we cannot give them funds.
