The past twelve months for the Friends of St Wilfrids has, yet again, been another successful one.
We have continued to use technology to help with running events. This has provided better controls, easy use of guest lists and tickets and minimises cash transactions.
The committee has worked extremely hard to provide fund raising events such as school discos and movie nights. Also, this year we have had a Love Bug disco for our KS1 children and a Glow Disco for KS2. These were both extremely popular and help towards our fund-raising efforts.
Similar to the previous year, the two largest fundraising events remain the Christmas Fayre and Walking Day. The running of Walking Day was smooth and continues to be so with a solid team who work tirelessly to organise the event.
The funds generated this year have been mainly spent on the new laptops for the pupils of the school, as well as enrichment for the pupils such as Christmas extravaganza day & pantomime trips.
Friends can only be run by willing volunteers and organisers. As Chairman I would like to place thanks to any school stakeholder who has been part of the past year in these two capacities. We’re indebted to your help.

I report on the accounts of the Trust for the year ended 31[st] July 2025
Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner
As the charity’s trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. It is my responsibility to:

examine the accounts

state whether particular matters have come to my attention
Basis of independent examiner’s report
As the charity trustees of the Trust you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (‘the Act’).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
The scope of the examination included reviewing the accounting records and comparing the accounts presented with those records.
Independent examiner’s statement
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect:

accounting records were not kept in respect of the Trust as required by section 130 of the Act; or
-
the accounts do not accord with those records.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
