**Objects:** TO PROMOTE ANY CHARITABLE PURPOSES FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF THORNTON AND ALLERTON AND NEIGHBOURHOOD WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF SEX OR OF POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS BY IN PARTICULAR BY ASSOCIATING THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES, VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS AND INHABITANTS IN A COMMON EFFORT TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AND TO PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTEREST OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION AND OTHER LEISURE-TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE SAID INHABITANTS.

**Activities:** Thornton & Allerton Community Association manage South Square Centre, a series of Grade II listed workers cottages. The charity runs and a range of arts, community, heritage and wellbeing activities.  Rents from small emerging businesses and artists' studios and a team of volunteers underpin the organisation. Wet also apply for grants to run outreach programmes, internships and community events.
