Charity number.. 1122091 Reglstered Company Number.. 06262852 (England and Wales) Livestock Report of the Trustees For the year ended 31 March 2025 The Trustees, who are also directors for the purposes of company law, have pleasure in presenting their report and the financial statements for the charitable company for the year ended 31 March 2025. The Trustees have adopted the provisions of Accounting and Reporting by Charities.. Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing Iheir accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and the Republic of Ireland (FRS 102} (effective 1 January 2015) OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES Objectlves and alms Livestock is an arts and communitydevelopment charity. We run projects that engage with the themes of mental health and wellbeing, focused on individuals, personal stories. We enable people to share their histories and experiences to connect and communicate with each other. Our peersupport groups use creativity as a tool to empower. We work primarily with mothers and families. The company aims to advance education for the public benefit by the promotion of the arts, especially performance, writing and art., and mental and physical wellbeing through mindfulness and food activities. We work especially with communities in the Brighton and Hove area. The trustees have considered the Charity Commission's guidance on public benefit, including the guidance 'public benefit.. running a charity {PB2). ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE Slgnlflcant activities Mothers Uncovered founder Maggie won two awards: Women's Champion for Social Enterprise UK and WISE Women 100. Maggie met with MP Laura Kyrke-smith who has made il her mission to improve maternal mental healthcare with significant investment into community provision. We were also approached to be a community partner for a leading piece of research for UCL, headed by academic Charlotte Faircloth. Maggie was interviewed by BBC 5 Live following a report on patchy maternal care around the UK. This led to interest and funding for our young mums, project from FoNis Mazars. Mothers Uncovered We ran a 5-week Mindfulness group at The All Saints, Hove and 3 My Birth sessions at The Tarner Centre in JunelJuly. Attendance was patchy and we've idenlified that participants are initially interested but struggle to commit to a sequence of sessions. We identified that people preferred a drop-in model so we trialled that in the autumn over 4 sessions in Whitehawk, a deprived area and this worked out well. We tried to run a one-off session for mothers who have experienced pregnancylbaby loss in the autumn. however this didn't have enough interest. There were 20 mothers supported through these activities. Page 3 of 17

Charlly number.. 1122091 Registered Company Number.. 06262852 (England and Wales) Livestock Report of the Trustees (continued) For the year ended 31 March 2025 Younger Mothers In the summer of 2024 our facilitator Caroline (Caz) resumed the training and preparation of the group for younger mothers which ran from late Sept-oct. led by 2 young mums from last year's Three Gen project. This went successfully and we were awarded further grants to sustain this work. With a new coordinator Cat (due to Caroline's work capacity at the time) we went foward into April 2025 with a strong plan for a year's delivery ahead for younger mums and additional recruitment to this project also. We addilionally started sessions at Ihe Puzzleboard café in March 2024 in order to set up a general chat session to support the removal of barriers into more committed groups to see if this supported younger mums better. This was attended by 10 mums but only funded for a number of weeks prior to the set up of the formal groups. We look forward lo seeing how the group work unfolds. Raising Awareness: Maternal Health Maggie and Aradhana developed some Pe8r Support training for individuals expressing the wish to set up their own groups in the UK. This Peer Support Training - a low-cosl, online support session facilitated by Maggie. This initially started as a group session, but moved lo an individual mentoring session lor Iwo people from the same organisation}. This attracted people from different parts of the country, with 5 women supported from Norfolk, Kenl, London and Leeds. We pitched for funding to develop Malrescence advocacy from The Slephen Lloyd Award (along wilh facilitator Felicity). This was unsuccessful unfortunately, however Maggie was been shortlisted for Social Enterprise Women's Champion of the Year by Social Enterprise UK. She also was on the Pioneers Post Wise 100 list of women for the second year running. Additionally, Maggie was also involved in SPSN (Sussex Peer Support Network) event, mentioned in a Guardian piece by Lucy Jones, interviewed by Rosie Taylor for the Independent, went to Parliament and met MP Laura Kyrke-smith and attended the launch of the UCL-funded 'Becoming A Mother Study, at the House of Lords. We shall be involved in this research going forwards. We took on a volunteer, Jay, to edit and uploaded 2 more episodes of the 'Secret Life of Mothers, podcast and 2 more have been recorded, including with Sam Southern, a leading light in suicide awareness who ensured that the Baton of Hope Tour would start in her home town of Blackpool. The edilor role was taken on by another volunteer Vladimir. The podcast has increased views and is being produced regularly with increasingly more higher profile interviewees. htt s:Ilwww.the uardian.comllifeandst lelarticle120241au loneliness-of-modern-motherhood 121 lil-felt-shameful-the- rofound- htt s-llo en.s .comle isode106'39' '1Ttrd9kPOkVAZP?si-awbkuT05TcKBHOv1z3iu Page4 of 17

Charity number: 1122091 Registered Company Number.. 06262852 (England and Wales) Livestock Report of the Trustees (continued) For the year ended 31 March 2025 Reaching Your Potentlal Due to a lack of funds for this project, we did not run anything during this year. We anticipate a course next year for younger mums as part of this projecl. Frazzled We have been running monthly online sessions for parents of SEND children ongoing throughout this year with attendance varying, and some regular individuals who see it as their lifeline. The groups are to be promoted by Amaze, and we are looking to develop better connection with schools. We shall be looking to recruit a third facilitator in the coming year, as the funding increases for this project and we expand into face to face sessions at the Old Boat in Hollingbury on a regular monthly basis. Teen Years We ran a trial of 3 sessions in Worthing during the Autumn months. and this was nol altended well. Therefore, we pul the service on hold for the foreseeable fulure until we establish a better need if there is one. Organisational wide Again, this year we have found that the trend of a competitive landscape in seeking funding continued to worsen, with some funders closing and a couple that we regularly are successful in obtaining funding from changing their criteria, so we are no longer eligible. Of over 40 bids that were applied for, Livestock was Suc￿sSfUl in only a quarter of these, the majority of these being less than £5000. There was also restricted capacity throughout the year due to the Aradhana (Managing Executive) needing time off for ill health leaving Maggie (Creative Executive) to carry operational and management tasks for a few months (cumulative) throughout the year. We slill persevered at the diversification of income streams, many of the initiatives we explored required more resource than we were able to offer in people power and upfront costs. Additionally, the Lotlery which we did sign up to has been slow in progress. We held a Pub Quiz fundraiser which brought in £850 and looked at really promoting Easy Fundraising- a donation platform which organisations give money to charities whilst individuals do their regular shopping. This has been successful in the cases where people use it, however getting sufficient numbers of people who activate the donation is difficult. Additionally, we created a slide deck with the aid of our trustee Jess, which we have used to approach corporate organisations in order to gain a relationship whereby we can offer traininglcourses to their staff or seek voluntary time or donations. We are yet to create a strategy of delivery for this, however, were unlucky with Siemens for whom it was originally created. Page 5 of 17

Charity number= 1122091 Registered Company Number.. 06262852 (England and Wales) Livestock Report of the Trustees (continued) For the year ended 31 March 2025 Governance During 2024-25, having Lorraine on board as Treasurer provided more operational capacity As well as an opportunity to organise and automate financial processes, making better use of Xero and other tools. Following Lorraine's resignation, Christina Lewis has taken on responsibility for the oversight of subcontractor payments. A new Trustee l Treasurer will be recruited in early 2026. We led an all team away day in October 2024 for the trustees and facililalors to meet and create a co-vision of the organisation alongside discussing solutions as a group to barriers of fundraising, reviewing service and also commenting on our digital presence. This was really beneficial to gel everyone together. All trustees had their annual meetings with the Managing Executive this year, and the general consensus was restriclions on time for individuals. No immediate need for training across the board was identified. We met with Tim Smith. a lawyer, to seek advice on our constitution given the amount of work that we are now doing to raise awareness. Tim has advised that this does sil within our constitution as written and therefore we are continuing with il. Policy and Procedure Policy and Procedures slated to be reviewed this year with the help of our trustee Liv and will continue lo be reviewed through the year as capacity allows. Golng Concern The charity has faced challenges in building and sustaining reserves over the past two years. These have been difficult times for the charity sector in general due to funding restriclions, cuts and the closure of trusts and grant funders which have historically supported the charity. Whilst Ihe charity continues to operate within its reserves policy of holding one month's operaling expenditure in free reserves, action is being taken to diversify and support new income streams such as our collaboration with potential Corporate partners. A conversation with Biogen is currently taking place where donations and funding to support work looks promising. We are also looking to build our Lottery donations, with belter support from a recently recruited communications person and we are looking to run an additional fundraiser this year to support income generation. Page6of17

Charity nLtmber.' 1122091 Registered Company Number.. 06262852 (England and Wales) Livestock Report of the Trustees (continued) For the year ended 31 March 2025 As well as raising additional money, we are also looking to reduce costs by reviewing servi providers and subscriptions. We have looked at the cancellation of our Drop Box and Zoom subscriptions. hoping to sign up to the new Microsoft Office for charities as a low cost rate when they roll out their new package in Jan 2026. and we will continue to review other subscriptions as they come up for renewal. The outlook so far for 2025-26 is challenging but the Trustees are confident that the charity will continue and be able to build the reseNes in the coming year. Having been successful in receiving the National Lottery Awards for All funding in November 2025, we have already secured a third of the funding required for this year's infrastructure costs. enabling us to use some of the donations money for reserves this year. This alongside the afore mentioned fundraiser and corporate endeavours should stand Livestock in better stead for 202612027. FINANCIAL REVIEW For the year ending 31 March 2025, the charity recorded a net deficit of £2,169 (2024 surplus: £3,973). Total reserves now stand at £23,212 of which £18,890 is restricted, Total income generated for the year was £27,009 (2024.. £52,557). The charity has received £21,025 in grants during the year (2024: £45,650) A total of £29,178 was spent (2024: £48,584). This has decreased in line with decreased project activity as funding streams have redu￿d. The charity continues to invest in supporting the infrastructure of the charily to ensure appropriate controls, governance and planning processes are in place. Reserves Livestock is committed to using its resources in pursuit of its charitable objectives. It is also committed to maintaining a level of reserves that is prudent to meeting ongoing liabilities, sufficient to ensure that all delivery commitments can be met and to protect the long-term future of Livestock's operations. Livestock's reserves policy seeks to balance these priorities by aiming to hold a level of general reserves which equates to approximately one month's expenditure of the charity, based on the planned expenditure for the year. At 31 March 2025 the charity held general reserves of £4,322 which equates to roughly six weeks operating costs at 2024-25 levels. However, recent fundraising bids have included funds to support the development of the charities, infrastructure and £1.700 is currently held in restricted funds for this purpose. Page 7of 17
