Notes
1. The charFty was fortunate to receive several substantial one-off donations from various charitable foundations and
trusts. Many of these came through third-paty fundraisers, giwng rise to the increased lundraising costs.
2. For much of 2023-24, the charity benefitted from a signfficanl Ic 300/¢) depreciation of the Kenyan Shilling versus Ihe
British pound, reducing the cost of our Kenyan operation5 in Sterling terms. The Kenyan Shilling has reversed much
of this deprecration duTing 2024-25. causing much of the increase in our costs in that year.
3. The Wal fees incurred related to a document that needed to be nolarised to enable a charitable trust I"New Lrfe
Nyambene Trusv,) to be inCo￿orated In Kenya.
