TnLStees are appointed in accordance with the Constitution. Some appointsnents are ex-officio. As vacancies for
Trustees aIise applications are sought from potential candidates known to the Tn￿tee$ and other suitable local
people. App]icants are then consldered by the Trustees 7md appoinknents made by resolution of the Trustees and
ratified at the At)nual meeting.
New Trustees are brtefed by the Clerk and the existing Trustees oli the Eustory and activities of the Charity. They
are provided with a copy of the Charity cOmn￿9$10n publication "The Essential Trustee, detsiling their
responsibilities and providing guidance on being A Trustee. The new Trusts(s) islare provided with a copy of the
Ch84rity Scheme and the iats&t audited accounts and nthutes.
The day-to-day executive management of the Charity 18 delegated by Trustees to A Management Committee,
comprtsing appropriately qualified individuals. The chairrnan of that committee is a Trustee, (during the Ye￿ this
was initially Michael O'Brien and subsequently Hayley Ahemel. The other member5 of the Management
Comtnattee are appointed by the lThstee5. The Management Committee reports to the Board OF Trustees, and may
co-opt other suitsbly qualified individuals from the to lirne as necessary
Remunerlltion policy
The pa! of the Group Manager is set by the Trustees in accordance with a histaric benchmarking process to ensure
that remuneration reflects value for the charity and fair wages for the employee.

in the notes to the accounts.
