Danescourt Christian Fellowship Trustees, Report The trustees, who are directors for the purposes of company law, present the annual report together wrth the financial statements and auditors, report of the charitable company for the year ended 31 December 2024. In Relation to Activities. The pastor's tenure came lo an end during the latter part of the year with pastoral and teaching responsibilities shared between the trustees and the members. The church obtained registration to hold weddings and a wedding service was Conducted in the latter part of the year. A weekly 'Kids Club, meeting was started for primary School age children, attended mainly by children from the surrounding estate. Weekly open meetings were held throughout the year for Christian worship, prayer, teaching and evangelism attracting be￿een 2040 people each week. Midweek fellowship meetings were held, again open to all. The church financially supported a number of organisations and individuals. The church ran occasional coffee mornings at a local Garden Centre open to all, but appealing especially to those of more mature years. The church ran a Holiday Bible Club in the Church in the Summer school holiday. The church continued to be a collection point for Cardiff Foodbank, part of the Trussell Trust. The church organised Christmas and Easter events, inviting people from the surrounding community. The church was involved in leaflet distribulions through the year extending invitations to the local community. The church held 'Café Church, style meetings several times during the year, a more informal approach to church, and open to all. In Relation to Finance The church continued to financially support the work of educational, missionary and Christian organisations both locally and around the world. Disclosure of information to auditor Each trustee has taken steps that they oughl to have taken as a trustee in order lo make themselves aware of any relevant audit information and to establish that the charity's auditor is aware of that infomalion. The trustees confirm that there is no relevant infomiation that they know of and of which they know the auditor is unaware. I report lo Ihe charity trustees on my examination of the accounts of the Company for the year ended 31 December 2024. Independent examiner's statement I have completed my examination. I confirm that no matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe.. 1. accounting records were not kept in respect of Danescourt Chrislian Fellowship as required by section 386 of the 2006 Act., or 2. the accounts do not accord with those records,. or 3. the accounts do not comply with the accounting requirements of section 396 of the 2006 Act other than any requirement that the accounls give a 'true and fair view, which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination, or 4. the accounts have not been prepared in accordance with the methods and principles of the Statement of Recommended Practice for accounting and reporting by charities {applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland {FRS 10211. I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examinalion to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of th8 accounts to be reached. These policies have been consistently applied to all the years presented, unless othe￿ise stated. Statement of compliance The financial slatemenls have been prepared in accordance wrth Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice (applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance wrth the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102)) (issued in October 2019) {Chanties SORP IFRS 1021), the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021 and the Companies Act 2006. Basis of preparation Danescourt Christian Fellowship meets the definition of a public benefit entity under FRS 102. Assets and liabilities are initially recognised at historical cost or transaction value unless othe￿ise stated in the relevant accounling policy notes. Going concern The trustees consider that there are no material uncertainties about the chartys ability to continue as a going concem nor any signrficant areas of uncertainty that affect the carrying value of assets held by the charity. Expenditure All expenditure is recognised once there is a legal or constructive obligation to that expenditure, rt is probable settlement is required and the amount can be measured reliably. All costs are allocated to the applicable expendrture heading that aggregate similar costs to that category. Where costs cannot be directly attributed to particular headings they have been allocated on a basis consistent with the use of resources, wrth central staff costs allocated on the basis of time spent, and depreciation charges allocated on the portion of the asset's use.
