Objectives and Activities of the Foundation

The charity, Children's Bums F(x1ndati￿ - A Step Fofward. was established by a Trust Deed
on 7 October 2007 and was. at that trn, called the Manchester Chiklren's Bums Foundation
(the Foundation). The obpcts of the Foundation as set out in the Trusi Deed a￿ to ffjlieve

The Foundation's name was subsequently changed on 13 August 2008 to 'Children's Bums

The purpose of the F￿ndatIOn is to support the recovery of chlldren with bum injuries. In

Objectives and Activities of the Foundation
A bum is one of Ihe most painful inlufies for the to cope with; recovery can often take

For many children the psycholo￿ scarring can be as bad as. or even worse than the

everyday life. They may have nightmares. disturt)ed sleep patterns or behaviour. struggle
with schoolwork and suffer the breakdown of important friendships. Additionally. they have to
