The company is a private company limited by guarantee, registered in England & Wales. The address

These financial slalemenls have been prepared in compliance with the provisions ol FRS 102, Section
1 A, 'The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic ol Ireland,.

Basis of preparation
The financial slalements have been prepared on the historieal Cost basis, as modified by the revaluation
ol certain financial assets and liabilities and investment properties measured al lair value through profil
or loss.
The financial statements are prepared in slerling, which is the functional currency ol Ihe enlily.
Turnover
Turnover is Tneasured al the lair value ol the consideration received or recewable lor goods supplled
and services rendered, nel ol discounts ar￿ Value Added Tax.
Revenue Irotn the sale ol goods is recognised when the significant risks and rewards ol ownership have
transferred lo the buyer (usually on despatch of the goods)., the arnounl ol revenue can be measured
reliably,. il is probable that the associated economic benefits will flow lo the entity., and the costs incurred
or lo be incurred in respect ol the transactions can be measured reliably.
Taxalion
Deferred laxalion 18 provided on the liability method to lake accounl ol liming differences between the
Irealmenl ol cert￿ll items lor accounts purposes and their Irealmenl lor lax purposes.
Tax deferred or accelerated is accoLJnted for in respect ol all material liming dillerences, in particular
accelerated Capital allowances and revaluation gains on investment properties. All deferred tax is
chargedllcrediledl lo the Statement ol Income and Retained Earnings.
Flnanclal instruments
The following assets and liabilities are classified as financial instruments trade debtors, trade creditors,
bank loans and directors, knans.
Bank loans are initially measured al the present value ol ILJlure payments, discounted al a market rale
of interest, and subsequentty al amortised cost using the effective inleresl method.
Directors, loans (being repayable on demand). trade debtors and trade creditors are measured al the
undiscounled amount ol th& cash or tslher consideration expected lo be paid or received.
Financial ass&ts that are measured al amortised cost are assessed al the end of each reporting period
lor objective evidence ol impairment. 11 objective evidence ol impairment is found, an impairment loss is
lecognised in the Sialemenl of Income and Retained Earnings.
