In planning the activities for the year, the church factored in new laws
affected the operation of the organisation as a Charity, and reflected on
the Charity Commission's guidance on public benefit at our trustee
meetings and provided the following..
The church provided benevolence to members and the local community
at large. The Church was able to support members and the public who
approached the Charity for financial assistance for food, funeral
donations, homelessness etc. Our evangelism programme attracted
many needing emotional and spiritual support in dealing with personal
challenges . The Church broadcast live evangelism programmes on the
local radio and in a YouTube channel with open access to members of
the public for spiritual and emotional growth. As a result, vulnerable
members of the public reached out to the Charily for various kinds of
support, particularly, those with marital difficulties, and social exclusion
issue5.
Summary of the maln
activities undertaken for the
public benefit in relation to
these objects (include within
this section the statutory
declaration that trustees have
had regard to the guidance
issued by the Charity
Commission on public
benefit)
The Church was SU￿esSfUl in building spiritual fellowship and friendship
among its members and impacted positively on moral education of the
Youth members of church through workshops and weekly prayer
sessions.
Additionally, the Church succeeded in distributing audio teachings aboLrt
Christian virtues to members of the public and reached out to countless
homes with inspirational WhatsApp messages, together with radio
evangelism broadcast on Saturdays.
These activities benefited the members and the local community in
developing positive attitudes while providing opportunities for
socialisation of members of the church and the wider public
