The Revd Kenneth Cross resigned as a trustee in September and Mr Lyn Edwards was welcomed and formally welcomed as a trustee and Treasurer. The Revd Richard Higgins was welcomed as a trustee in November. ## **Objects of the charity** In the areas of the former West Somerset District Council and such adjoining and nearby areas as the Trustees may from time to time determine (the area of benefit) the promotion of the moral, physical, social and spiritual growth of children and young people based on the Christian faith in both formal and informal educational contexts. ## **Achievements & performance** The Project continues to work ecumenically but is particularly contributing to and helping to deliver the vision of the Diocese of Bath and Wells in the Exmoor area, and is supporting the mission of the West Somerset Methodist Circuit. The Project is promoting and sharing the Christian faith in an accessible, practical and positive way to children, young people and their families. The Project Workers (Jess and Lynne) have responded to the challenges of delivering support and activity to children and families during Covid related lockdowns and restrictions. Lynne was furloughed between April and July 2020, then part time furlough and work until the end of March 2021. Jess reduced her hours in the early stages of the pandemic, then went on to part time work and part furlough from January to the end of March 2021. They have been operating as an ecumenical team with other church workers to provide outreach and support as much as possible. The Project’s online offer increased significantly, particularly in the early stages of the pandemic. Spring/Summer 2020 - Lockdown Leavers’ Assembly - Messy Church Online (with Methodist colleagues) - Holiday Club Online with other local churches Autumn 2020 - Online Harvest Experience, and resource packs - All Hallows Light Trail Winter 2020/Spring 2021 - QR Nativity Trail - Christingle Services (filmed and available online) - Advent and Christmas assemblies and resource packs - Christmas experience packs - SPARK magazine – Advent and Christmas themed - Online Crib service - Pancake Quiz online - Easter resource packs and Easter egg trail ## **Financial review** The increased regular contributions from churches in the Exmoor Deanery was sustained. Further grants have been gratefully received from the Minehead Church Institute Hall and Hall Trust, Somerset Community Foundation, and All Churches Trust (Hope Beyond Fund). Three years of funding has been secured from the Methodist District Trust Fund and West Somerset Methodist Circuit – this is of great help to the future sustainability of the Project.
