**Objects:** 1)     TO FURTHER THE IMPROVEMENTS OF HEALTHCARE AT THE HALSTEAD HOSPITAL AND WITHIN THE HALSTEAD URBAN AND RURAL AREAS SERVED BY THE HOSPITAL AND OTHER COMMUNITY SERVICES.2)     IN PARTICULAR, TO RELIEVE PATIENTS AND FORMER PATIENTS OF THE HALSTEAD HOSPITAL AND OTHER INVALIDS IN THE COMMUNITY WHO ARE SICK, CONVALESCENT, DISABLED, HANDICAPPED, INFIRM OR IN NEED OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AND, GENERALLY, TO SUPPORT THE CHARITABLE WORK OF THE SAID HOSPITAL.

**Activities:** The League of Friends role is to relieve patients and invalids of the Halstead Hospital andCommunity & Rural Areas who are sick, convalescent, disabled, handicapped, infirm and togenerally support charitable work of the hospital. It is run by a Board of Trustees which isdependent on the services of unpaid volunteers.
