belonging to the church of St. Mary the
Virgin, Ross-on-Wye and its churchyard,
and all additions thereto.

During the year to 5 April 2024, the
Charity was very active in fundraising.
This allowed the Charity to fund a major
grant of £19,758 towards the new audio-
visual system in St Mary’s Church during.
The biennial Ross-on-Wye Open Gardens
event took place in June 2023 which
raised £8,637.
Regular concerts and talks were held in
St Mary’s Church which were very
popular and well attended, and which
together raised £5,195.
The Trustees were very grateful for
grants received from The Rowlands
Trust, the Edward Cadbury Charitable
Trust and the William Allen Young
Charitable Trust towards the Nave
Platform project. The Charity paid initial
Architect’s costs of £617 during the year
and will continue to financially support
the project during the next financial year.

Para 1.20 The Charity’s funding of the new sound
system in St Mary’s Church in 2022 was
followed by grants towards the cost of a
digital projector in the Church. This
includes a specially designed retractable
projector screen that is concealed behind
the chancel arch when not in use. This
has enhanced the Church’s worship and
services, as well as allowing a wider
range of other community activities to
take place within the Church.

grants of £20,307. Income from
fundraising activities and events was
£13,832. Subscriptions from members
and other donations were £2,197, and
interest received was £309.
The Charity made grants of £20,375.
There was a surplus for the year of
£15,618.

Para 1.22 The Charity holds cash in reserve until
opportunities arise for suitable ways to
spend those funds in accordance with
the Charity’s objects.

cash at bank. Of these funds, £12,383
was unspent restricted grants received
towards the Nave Project.
