The trustee presents his report and the financial statements for the year ended 31 March 2025.

Objectives and Activities

Aims and Objectives

The main objectives of the charity are set out in the charity’s trust deed and are summarised as follows:

1) The advancement of the Islamic religion for the benefit of the public, and in particular the Bosnian community

2) The promotion of religious harmony for the benefit of the public by:

educating the public in different religious beliefs including an awareness of their distinctive features and their common ground to promote good relations between persons of different faiths;

promoting knowledge and mutual understanding and respect of the beliefs and practices of different religious faiths.

3) The relief of financial hardship, either generally or individually, of members of the Bosnian community living in the United Kingdom and elsewhere by making grants of money for providing or paying for items services or facilities.

4) The advancement of the education of members of the Bosnian community in the London area through the provision of supplementary schools, training courses and conferences.

Achievements and Performance

Main Achievements

In carrying out the charity's activities the Trustees have had regard to the Charity Commissioner's guidance on public benefit. The Charity manages an Islamic Centre where regular prayers are held. This is to provide a place of worship for the local Muslim population. The centre also provides a place to educate the community with religious and historical studies and get help and guidace in time of needs in all aspects of life.

Every year we mark the anniversary of Srebrenica genocide and other key events in our (Bosnia Herzegovina) history. We also participate in various religious activities on a weekly, monthly and yearly basis.

In the past the Chairty managed three shops, but post Covid-19, the operation has been reduced to only 1 shop. The higher taxes and rates are making it impossible to continue running shops and the Trustees are monitoring the situation closely and will decide the fate of the 1 remining shop.

Funds are being spent on expansion of the Centre to cater for more public during congregations and other community activities.

Financial Review

Financial Position

Principal funding source

The charity’s main source of income is:

1- donations from the community collected on a weekly basis

2- Membership fee, and

3- takings from the shop.
