The academic year 2021-2022 was successful,
but difficult year for Cambridge Russian school.
The school has been continuing to provide a
wide variety of classes ranging from academic
subjerts like Russian language and literature,
exam courses GCSE and A-level, to vocational
subjects like programmin& ceramics and
Russian dance for students aged 3 to 18, and
classes of Russian language for adults.
First term the school operations have been
njn smoothly and effectively by our wonderful
and very hardworking administrative team-
the director Jelena Carter and the senior
administrator Marina Olefir, helped by our
dedicated duty team.

On December 4, the school hosted an art
exhibition of works by the students from the
class of Lyudmila Sikhosana at the Student
Center. Works on the paintings of Serov.
Korovin. Van Gogh, Vrubel, Shishkin,

and exhibited.
On Saturday, December 11, at the Christmas
party for the students of the Cambridge
Russian School. there was a lot of fun for
everyonel
Snegurochka, Snowman and Ded Moroz held a
Christmas Horovod for our youngest pupils,
and then the children received gifts and could
take a pirture at the Christmas Tree.
A festive concert of the class Vesylye Notki,
folk dance class and junior drama class with
the New Yearfs fairy tale took place in the large
drama hall.
It was difficult to make a choice among 50
many interesting festive workshops that the
teachers at the sthool tonducted.
And on this day, Santa Claus and the elves gave
out gifts, a children's room for kids worked,
contests and a lottery were held, there wa5 a
Feast for the whole world, a quiz, debates and
board games were organized for senior
schoolchildren.
Since beginnin8 of the war in Ukraine it's been
lots of discussions and extra pressure to staff
teachers and trustees. as many of us got
relatives there. School team/tru5tees
organised help and support to our staff and
families who's from Ukraine. Several charity
initiative5 been launched including free le550ns
for Ukrainian kids and support for adults.

an art exhibition took place at our school. The
exhibition featured works of our pupi15 created
at the art lessons. It also included the works
that children from the other part of the UK
sent us. The art works featured at our
exhibition display the talent and efforts of our
pupi15 and their teathers- we are very happy
to facilitate the development of such talents.

The school operates as a not-for-profit
organisation. For many years we have
been striving to keep lesson fees to the
minimum to keep attending the school
affordable to as many families as
possible. For families facing hardships,
we offer payments in instalments and
partial bursary payments. We offered
money returns and postponed payments
for families who's been more than others
affected during the pandemic. Free
lessons been offered for Ukrainian
families.

We managed to keep safe majority of pupils
and staff and during this difficult year for
school, country, and the whole world. We
operated at high level of our abilities. We
helped a lot to our Ukrainian pupils, teachers
and staff and to their family relatives to
