It was registered as a charity on 271h September 2007 with charity number 1120989. 11 is govemed by the Memorandum and Artides of Association dated 23rd March 2006 and amended 29th August 2006. Trustee Appointments New Iruslees may be nominated and elected at the charity's annual general meeting, but the total number of trustees may not exceed 5 nor fall below 3. Objectives, Activities and Achlevements Charitable Objects The objects of the charity are: a} To promote community participation to the residents of Seaham and the surrounding area with an access to all policy to play Cricket. b) To establish and secure the establishment of a cricket club and maintain and manage the same whether alone or in partnership or in co-operation with other persons in furtherance of the slated objects. Activities and A¢hiev•ments With the continued dedication of the committee, members players. coaches and supporters of the club we were able to continue and function V￿11 on all playing fronts. There were several club achievements within the year: 1. In jusl our 2nd year back in the North East Premier League Division 1 we successfully finished in 2￿ place this granting our 1 a Team further promotion lo the North East Premier League -Premier Divtsion. In addition lo our upstanding League promotion our 1$1 ieam achieved places into 3 Finals days and were successful in securing runner up Trophy in the Protech Cup. 2. Our 2tvJ Team finished 41h and our Mid-week team 101h place. Our Premier League Development Team and Hetton Lyons Division 3 Academy team both had outstanding seasons securing their positions as 1 $1 place league winners. Ladies at Seaham Harbour continued to enjoy their cricket joumey and development. They were successful in the recruitment of growing team numbers. The teams enjoyed taking part within the league, local Cricket festivals and friendly games with local clubs. Seaham Harbour Cricket Club Trustees. We are very proud to continue to have junior players selecled and excel in the Durham County teams. Our juniors had an ex￿pIlOnaI year of cricket induding many cup wins. Junior Cup Wins Girfs - u11s League runners up. u17s League wnners up. Boys- u19 - East League winners, u15 WA Bennett Trophy winners. u14 County Cup wnners (progressed to National Championship). u13 South East League winners. u13 Emie Lamb Trophy winners, u13 MP Rush Cup winners. u11 South East League winners. and u11 Albert Peel Trophy winners. Volunteers The Trustees consider Ihe work of volunteers invaluable to the running of the charity. Publlc Benefit The trustees confirm that they have referred to thè guidance contained in Ihe Charity Commission's general guidance on public benefit when reviewing the charily's aims and objecb'ves and in planning activities and setting policies and priorities for the year ahead. Future Plans Plans are to further assist the playing of cricket within the local area, and to continue this by providing funding and facililies to allow this to happen. To continue to provide cricket for players of all ages and abilities. Reserves Policy During normal operating conditions the trustees aim to hold reserves equivalent to approximately 3 months. wnnirbg costs. The reserrfes held on 301h September 2025 lotalled £124.986 (2024= £124,986>. Responsibilities of the Trustees Charity law requires the trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial period, which show a true and fair view of the stale of affairs of the charity and lis financial activities for that period. In preparing those financial statements. the trustees are required to: select suitable accounting policies and thèn apply them consislently-. make judgments and estimates that are prudent and reasonable: slate whether applicable accounting standards and statements of recommended practi￿ have been followed, subjed to any departures disclosed and explained in the financial statements; and prepare the financial statements on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the charity will continue in existence. The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disGlose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity and to enable them to 8nsure that Ihe financial statements comply with the Charities Act 2011. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity and hence for laking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.
