The trustees confimi they have rèferred to and had regard to the
guidance contained in the charity commission's general guidance
with regard to public benefft when reviewing the Trusts aims and
objectfves and In planning activllles, Including grants.
With due regard to the guidance issued by the charity ¢ommis8ion
on public bonefft we continue to support a church. offering regular
Christian services of wornhip and teaching.
We also support a residential school for poor ¢hSldren vtho would
otherwise be unable to receive an education. Education is currently
provided from reception through to Standard 10+2 (GCSE 'A' Level
equlvalent) and young people who wairt to continue their educatlon
are given opportunty to do so at local colleges and at Universities.

at hospitals in India arKI by organising healthcare camps. We have

We have paid for chlldr•n to be issued with their blrth certificates
and Adar cards allowing them to register for national exams and to
prove their age empowering them to access help to refuse underage

Achievements and performance
The church services have seen disruption in a large part of the year
due to the Covid-19 Pandem1¢ leading to restrictions in public
meetings. Meetings in the surrounding area at church members.
homes have been held when pemlltted to do so. When tha church
has been able to meeL it has been well attended.

achievements of the charity
during the year
We fund hostel accommodalion on two sites for chlldren attending
Momlng Star School and for children and young people supported
by us to attend other local educational institutions.
A l)ore hole has been fvnded on land bought for a boys hostel to be
built to enable more boys to access education in thelr senior years.
An architect has been engaged. plans agreed, and work is expocted
to start as soon as Covid 19 restrictions permit
We have had onty one volunteer this year to Support residential and
teaching staff. giving advice and guidance in a difficult year. Thls
helped mornle and the implementation of Covld rlsk asstssmentsl
safety measures to good effecL
Additional fundlng has been provided to improve technology within
the school all•xing for on4ine Classes and tutoring. Phones have
been provided for older students. to access studies, vtho had to
eome back to Morning Star School vknen their
schoolslcollegesluniversities shut to in person teaching and put
classes on4ine during the year. We have a total of 42 residential
school students. New admissions have been on hold durlng the
Covid 19 Pandemic but will resume as soon as possible with
approximatsly 20 awaiting admtssion.
We are funding five children studying 'A' Level equivalent studies at
four institutions all￿￿lln9 them to follow a wido range of subjects.
All children who were awaiting results delayed by the pandemic in
2019120 received Ihelr results and ￿Te ablo to progress to further
studie&
We contlnue to fund Higher edurAtion. We fund 1 student who on
completing a BSC in Physical Educallon at University has continued
into a masters level teaching qualificatlon. 2 doing Nursing
Diploma4 1 doing an Occupational Therapy degree and ono doing
Teaching Diplom&
One student who completed a Diploma in Car Mechanics and had
begun working for a large fimi initially in a probationary capacity
has now secured a pernianent position with another large fimi.
One student registered in nurslng and midwifery and has begun
work in a large hospital.
We have funded a number of hospttal admissions for stomach
infections and conditlons such as malaria and dengue fever and
also funded kidney dialysis for a young paraplegic man.
We continue to run Immunlsation programs. heafth checks and
dental chKks for all the children in our care and others brought to
us who are unable to afford healthcare. Wo fund trealment as

We teach about good nutrition, hygiene and healthy lifestyle to
improve the health and **llbeing of child￿n and families attending
Morning Star School and church and their communities.
During the coronavirus pandemic VR have liaised carefulty with
those work WFth to ensure govemment guidance and ￿gulationS
are Impleme￿ and follovKd. There have been 2 cases of
coronavirus reported amongst those wo work wlth to date both went
into isolation and made a good recovery.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 05/04/2021. 

- **Responsibilities and** As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation **basis of report** of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”). 

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
