The charitable obj&ctive of the As$o¢olK)n is lo promote and improvè agricullure lor the benefit of thè public by the
improvement ol livestoth and the d8m0nstrat￿, exhibttion and showing of Itvestock, mathinery, (yafis, produds,
methods and pio¢ess&s connected wth agriculturè and agricultural educalion.
Thè trustees have had du6 regard lo guidance puNished by Ihe Chanty Commission on public ben&fft. In planning
our actiwtlè8 we seek lo prowde benefit lo the public, without p￿jUdi￿, by our prin(apal activities of improving the
standards of tsrming and farm craft for the famers residing within the arèa and encournging and suprK)rting
activiti'es organised by Iwl wmmunity groups Operatir￿ in Stanhopè and tho surrounding are8.

Plannu)g for the 18P Stanhope Show wenl smoothty and after tre long Summer we hoped fDr gts￿J weather.
The forecast was reasonatAè although cold Saturday being the better of the kn days. The rain barety
materialized bul the forecast did, we feel. adversety affe(* the gate on Sunday. Visttor nUm￿rS on Saturday were
good with Sunday slightly lower.
Field and venue booking throughout thè year wère g(¥)d wrth most weekends in the peak summer months being
booked. Just over £21.5k w88 fdised through field and buihling bookings.
Charfe5 Blakey aThY Richard Mv•YS ViSTted thè new owners of Unthank Hall and a friendty agreement was reached
allowing us lo conlinue to use the paddo¢k fot the show.
Thanks to the hard work be￿een ￿mmittee and the CLMnmitie8 of Stanh)pe Sfvèr Band a IiTllelable for the march
was agreed upon and along wtth help from Ihe road cjosure company this was adherèd lo wth a rolling road block
ensuring that show traffic was not severety InconvènierKed during the band march.
As well as the many caravan and molorhome rydl*s, we hosted:

Whilst entries in many s@(*ions were excellent, we wer& sadly unable lo host the KC Dog Obedience dasses al the
show due lo a dale ¢lash 8nd no judge being availabl8. on￿ again section 5eBretaries did an outstanding job with
special thanks lo Suzette Jopling who now maroges the Craft. Handmade & Produce (along with Julie Hanson), the
Children's Art ￿mpetrtI0n, thè vèry popular Gundtrj Sojrry and this year look w the Photography section snd
prodU￿d a beauliftd exhibrtion ol photographs.
Promtrting and marf(eling ol the show is increasingty online and we athieved Ihe milest￿e of 12,000 facebook
fonowers just before the show. We exkEiienced some adverse onlinè p¢ynts of view folk)wing an issue wYLh 8 main
arena acL WÈ wère contacted by the Assrriation of sh￿ Organiseis during thè show who subsequently pmiitded
us wych a bursary which 8llowed Lisa to attend the natKJn ASAO o)nference in November at the Great Yorkshire
ShowgrL)und pavilion.
Despite this being diffi¢wll at thB time ￿$sonS We￿ leamed and a subcornmltt￿ mèt in December to work toward5
securing worfd dass main arena acts and enhance Dur enlertainmenl offering.

Field bookings throughout the year saw £21,728 banked.
The a￿Ounts returned a small defictt of £705.
The level of unrèstricted free reserves on 3¢￿ November 2025 was £238,326. The charity requires reserves (money
not designated lor any purposes} in order lo fund thè prowsDn of the annual show and to improve the onsrte
facilrties. The Trustees cortrsider that the reserves ol 31 least cost of holding the show should be held, cJJrrenlly
8$1imaleil al £80.000, togèthèr with suffi(ienl funds lo enab￿ Ihe $￿ety to finance the purchase of additional
f8¢illlies for Ihe showground.

Bookings are healthy for 2026 in tems of FEkl and Vènue t*)okings. There are onty a very fèw d8tÈs remaining.
