OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES
DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES AND ACHIEVEMENT IN THE YEAR
The Redeemed Christian Church of God - Winners' Way, Dartford is a charity with the primary objective of reaching out to the people about our Christian Faith with focus.
Our purpose is to advance the Christian Faith through preaching, education, weekly evangelism in this nation (United Kingdom) and the worldwide as the trustees may think necessary from time to time.
We engage in many community activities alongside our primary aim, which is to spread the gospel of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ and win souls for Him. We do this with the aim to:
- To relieve and alleviate persons who are in conditions of need, or hardship or those who are sick, aged, disabled and to relive the distress caused thereby in our location and in such other parts of the U.K. or the world as the trustees may consider necessary.
Ensuring that our work deliver our aims
We engage in regular reviews of our aims, objectives and activities each year.
This review looks at what we achieved so far and the outcomes of our work in the previous year's and at the success of each key activity and the benefits they have brought to those group of people we are set out to help. It helps us remain focused on our stated purposes as a charitable organisation.
THE FOCUS OF OUR WORK
Our main objectives for the year continued to be the advancement of the Christian religion and to strive to improve the living condition of the needy.
The strategies we applied in meeting these objectives are:
Provision of weekly church services through morning prayer meeting on Monday to Friday between 5:45am to 6:30am, Wednesday Bible study, Friday prayer meetings and communion service, and Sunday for celebration service, to minister to the physical, material and spiritual needs of the members and visitors alike.
Provisions of special events, meetings and training to meet the specific needs of the target groups in the church and the community, for example, elders’ group, men's group, women's group, youth group, children church, single and newly married group (More Than Diamond). Regular prayer meetings are held by the church for the members of the church, members of our community, counsellors, members of parliament, prime minister, the monarch, council leaders, our mayor, members of the police force and businesses in our community.
Focusing on the material needs of certain members undergoing difficult financial situations due to sickness, unemployment, homelessness and those falling on difficult times.
We worked with other Christian organisations, through the project ' Churches working together in Dartford’, in order to advance the preaching of the gospel. We achieved this through the:
-
Provision of pastoral care for the members and visitors to the church and members of the community.
-
Provision of our church hall for community projects, meetings and special events e.g., music concert and conferences.
-
Provision of sleeping bags, blanket, jumpers and winters clothing to those in need during winter months.
-
Provision of store vouchers and hampers to those in need.

SIGNIFICANT ACTIVITIES
Our main activities and who we are trying to help are described below. All our charitable activities focus on the advancement of the Christian religion and the relief of poverty.
How our activities deliver public benefits:
Ministering weekly to the spiritual needs of the people through bible teaching, bible study, prayer meetings, communion service, water baptism service, pastoral counselling and evangelism. Our main focus as a church is the outreach for souls.
Who used and benefited from our services:
Our church services are presented to our regular members, visitors and occasional seekers.
We minister to the physical and spiritual needs of the members in our services and give specific consideration to the seekers or new comers in our midst who may not necessarily have a church background; or may not understand the process of coming to the Christian Faith. We also help with the relief of poverty and hardship amongst both regular and non-regular members who face periods of unemployment, financial hardships, due to marriage breakdowns or the lack of financial resources.
Significant activities
Throughout the year, the church was actively involved in a variety of meaningful events and activities. We celebrated our Church Anniversary, honoring the milestones and growth of our congregation. Special occasions like Mother’s Day and Father’s Day allowed us to express our gratitude and appreciation for the parents in our community. The Men’s and Women’s Retreats provided opportunities for spiritual reflection and fellowship. We also came together to celebrate the Pastor’s Birthday and hosted the Women’s Conference to empower and uplift the women of our church.
Our Sunday School Day was a vibrant celebration of our children's ministry, while Youth Month allowed us to focus on the spiritual growth of our young members. Throughout the summer months, we enjoyed a series of Summer Barbecues, fostering fellowship and connection. Church family outings brought us closer together, and we joyfully celebrated Children’s Month, along with the Hallelujah Night for children, a fun-filled event for our younger members. The Pastor’s Meeting with new members helped to integrate them into our church family, and the Winterton Yearly Bible Quiz Day provided an exciting opportunity for all ages to engage in biblical learning.
As we approached the end of the year, we held a Christmas party for the children, and our Carol Evening Service filled us with joy and reflection on the true meaning of Christmas. On New Year’s Eve, we gathered in worship to thank God for His blessings and pray for the year ahead.
In addition to these events, the church made several improvements to our facilities, including the replacement of some of the air conditioning units to ensure comfort during services. The church building was re-painted, and we re-carpeted the entire facility to enhance its appearance and welcoming atmosphere.

We remain committed to supporting the less privileged via our annual Christmas Dinner for the community in December. We also provided continuous training and seminars throughout the year. Our men and women group continue to remain very active during the course of the last financial year and alliances were made with other partner churches to foster the spreading of the gospel.
Future development.
The church will continue to explore various ways of spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ in an effective manner. The charity is also looking to grow its membership and to continue to develop its members in order to make a positive impact in the society while performing its charitable activities.
