OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES

DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES AND ACHIEVEMENT IN THE YEAR

The Redeemed Christian Church of God - Winners' Way, Dartford is a charity with the primary objective of reaching out to the people about our Christian Faith with focus.

Our purpose is to advance the Christian Faith through preaching, education, weekly evangelism in this nation (United Kingdom) and the worldwide as the trustees may think necessary from time to time.

We engage in many community activities alongside our primary aim, which is to spread the gospel of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ and win souls for Him. We do this with the aim to:

Ensuring that our work deliver our aims

We engage in regular reviews of our aims, objectives and activities each year.

This review looks at what we achieved so far and the outcomes of our work in the previous year's and at the success of each key activity and the benefits they have brought to those group of people we are set out to help. It helps us remain focused on our stated purposes as a charitable organisation.

THE FOCUS OF OUR WORK

Our main objectives for the year continued to be the advancement of the Christian religion and to strive to improve the living condition of the needy.

The strategies we applied in meeting these objectives are:

Provision of weekly church services through morning prayer meeting on Monday to Friday between 5:45am to 6:30am, Wednesday Bible study, Friday prayer meetings and communion service, and Sunday for celebration service.

To minister to the physical, material and spiritual needs of the members and visitors alike. Provision of the nursery school that serves the community with the early year’s education, it opens from Monday to Friday throughout the year.

Provisions of special events, meetings and training to meet the specific needs of the target groups in the church and the community, for example, elders’ group, men's group, women's group, youth group, children church, single and newly married group (More Than Diamond). Regular prayer meetings are held by the church for the members of the church, members of our community, counsellors, members of parliament, prime minister, the monarch, council leaders, our mayor, members of the police force and businesses in our community.

Focusing on the material needs of certain members undergoing difficult financial situations due to sickness, unemployment, homelessness and those falling on difficult times.

We worked with other Christian organisations, through the project ' Churches working together in Dartford’, in order to advance the preaching of the gospel. We achieved this through the:

SIGNIFICANT ACTIVITIES

Our main activities and who we are trying to help are described below. All our charitable activities focus on the advancement of the Christian religion and the relief of poverty.

How our activities deliver public benefits:

Ministering weekly to the spiritual needs of the people through bible teaching, bible study, prayer meetings, communion service, water baptism service, pastoral counselling and evangelism. Our main focus as a church is the outreach for souls.

Who used and benefited from our services:

Our church services are presented to our regular members, visitors and occasional seekers.

We minister to the physical and spiritual needs of the members in our services and give specific consideration to the seekers or new comers in our midst who may not necessarily have a church background; or may not understand the process of coming to the Christian Faith. We also help with the relief of poverty and hardship amongst both regular and non-regular members who face periods of unemployment, financial hardships, due to marriage breakdowns or the lack of financial resources.

Significant activities

Our community barbecue on the last Saturday of August was again well attended by members and invited guests; it proved to be fun and interactive. The nursery remains a strong part of the community and continues to grow stronger. It continues to attract children from the wider communities in and around Dartford.

We increased the number of staff due to increased children intake and ensure that staff received continued training and professional development. We also embarked on a refurbishment program which greatly improved and enhanced our facilities. Our charges reflected our charitable status, and makes us competitive with other providers in the area.

The Winning Child Nursery is a true reflection of the diversity of our community and the nation as a whole.

Our current nursery staff are drawn from ethnicity and reflects the community. We employed qualified nursery practitioners, who promotes our uniqueness and help us to celebrate our diversity. This year, we increased the number of graduates who enter into primary education.

The trustees are pleased to report that the church continues to be spiritually successful; by ministering to the needs of many people. We have maintained our membership and continue to invite and reach out to the community. We continue to pray that the community will support us more.

The Church conducted wedding ceremonies; performed numerous naming and dedication ceremonies for babies born to our members. We held annual seminars for families, celebrated our anniversary, held business development and business-related seminars. We also tackled issues facing women, the family and the community. These were done with the assistance of our workers in the various church departments, administration and ministries. We continue to provide annual and monthly youth program, youth ministries, children ministries and we supported other ministries that needed our support. Our multimedia department ensure that all messages are uploaded on our website along with pictures of our activities and other major events.

The church celebrated its 21[st] years anniversary in 2023.

Throughout the past year, our church embraced a multitude of enriching events and initiatives, fostering community engagement and spiritual growth. From the jubilant celebration of Mother's Day and our church anniversary, coinciding on a single weekend, where we welcomed esteemed music ministers and guests with heartfelt hospitality, to the uplifting series of gatherings dubbed "The Gatherings" in April, showcasing the talents of music ministers. We extended our outreach with community-focused endeavours, such as hosting the NHS Health Check bus twice, ensuring accessibility to vital healthcare services for our neighbours.

In the vibrant tapestry of our church calendar, the summer youth event in August 2023 provided a platform for fellowship and joy, complete with barbecue delights and refreshments. The church further embraced familial bonds with a memorable trip to the seaside during the Family Fun Day, fostering cherished memories and strengthening bonds within our congregation.

October heralded a focus on empowerment and celebration with the Women's Conference and the joyous Hallelujah Day for our children. November's program, "The Winnerthorn," exemplified our commitment to spiritual growth and development. As the year drew to a close, December's festive spirit was alive with Christmas dinners, fostering warmth and camaraderie among our church community.

In addition to these transformative experiences, our church invested in enhancing our technological capabilities, upgrading computers and media equipment. Notably, we procured a state-of-the-art LED screen, a testament to our commitment to innovation and effective communication. While part of the cost has been covered, further payments will be made this year, ensuring continued progress and modernization. As the church reflects on the past year, we celebrate the diverse array of events and initiatives that have enriched our church community, embodying our shared values of fellowship, service, and spiritual growth.

REDEEMED CHRISTIAN CHURCH OF GOD, WINNERS WAY

REPORT OF THE TRUSTEES

FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31ST DECEMBER 2023

We remain committed to supporting the less privileged via our annual Christmas Dinner for the community in December. We also provided continuous training and seminars throughout the year. Our men and women group continue to remain very active during the course of the last financial year and alliances were made with other partner churches to foster the spreading of the gospel.

Future development.

The church will continue to explore various ways of spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ in an effective manner. The charity is also looking to grow its membership and to continue to develop its members in order to make a positive impact in the society while performing its charitable activities.

We intend to plant more churches in different towns and cities in the coming year.
