Independent Examlnees Report to the Trustees of
St Jude Indl? Chlldcare Centres UK
I report on the financial statements of the charity for the year ended 31 March 2022 which are set out on
pages l and 2.
Respettlve responslbllltles of trustees and examlner
The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the financial statements. The charity's trustees
consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 43121 of the Charities Act 1993 Ithe 1993
Act) and that an independent examination Is needed.
It is my responsibility to..
examine the financial statements under section 43 of the 1993 Act,.
follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Charity Commission under
section 4317llbl of the 1993 Act; and
state whether partlcular matters have come to my attention.
This report. including my statement, has been prepared for and only for the chariws trustees as a body.
My work has been undertaken so that I might state to the charSty's trustees those matters l am required to
state to them in an independent examiner's report and for no other purpose. To the fullest extent
permitted by law, I do not accept or assume responsibility to anyone other than the charity and the
charity's trustees as a body for my examination work. for this report, or for the statements I have made.
Bas1$ of Independent examlner's reportmy examination was carried out in accordance with the general
directions given by the Charity Cornmission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records
kept by the charity and a comparison of the financial statements presented with those records. It a150
includes consideration of any unusual items of diselosures in the financial statements and seeking
explanatlons fmm you as trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not
provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to
whether the financial statements present a "true and fair view" and the report is limited to those matters
set out in the statement below.
Independent examlner's slatementln connection wlth my examination. no matter has come to my
attention:
Which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements..
o to keep accounting records in accordance with section 41 of the 1993 Act: and
o to prepare financial statements which accord with the accounting records and comply wlth
the accounting requirements of the 1993 Act have not been met: or
• to which, in my opinlon, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understandlng of
the financial statements to be reached.
