Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner
The charity's trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 43(2) of the Charities Act 1993 (The Act), as amended by s.28 of the Charities Act 2006 and that an independent examination is needed. It is my responsibility to:
-
Examine the accounts under section 43 of the Act, as amended.
-
Follow the procedures outlined in the Charity Commission’s General Directions (under section 43(7)(b) of the Act, as amended).
-
Report whether any matters come to attention that require disclosure.
Basis of independent examiner's report
The examination was carried out according to the Charity Commission’s General Directions. It included reviewing the charity’s accounting records, comparing them with the accounts presented, considering any unusual items, and seeking explanations from the trustees. These procedures do not provide the same level of evidence as an audit; therefore, no audit opinion is expressed.
Independent examiner's statement
No matters have come to my attention that:
-
Give reasonable cause to believe that, in any material respect, the trustees have not met the requirements to keep proper accounting records (section 41 of the Act) or prepare accounts that agree with those records and comply with the Act; or
-
Require disclosure to enable a proper understanding of the accounts.
To which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

Notes to the Accounts for the Year Ended 31 December 2024
Basis of preparation
Basis of accounting
These accounts have been prepared based on historic costs (except that investments are shown as market value) in accordance with:
-
Accounting and Reporting by Charities - Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP 2005) and with the Charities Act 1993.
-
There has been no change to the accounting policies since last year and no changes to the previous year’s accounts.
Incoming resources
Recognition of Incoming Resources
These are included in the Statement of Financial Activities (SoFA) when:
-
The charity becomes entitled to the resources.
-
The trustees are virtually certain they will receive the resources, and
-
The monetary value can be measured with sufficient reliability.
Incoming Resources with Related Expenditure
Where incoming resources have related expenditure (as with fundraising or contract income) the incoming resources and related expenditure are reported gross in the SoFA.
Grants and Donations
Grants and donations are only included in the SoFA when the charity has unconditional entitlement to the resources.
Tax reclaims on Donations and Gifts
Incoming resources from tax reclaims are included in the SoFA at the same time as the gift to which they relate.

This is only included in the SoFA once the related goods or services have been delivered.
13
MEMBERS CHURCH OF GOD INTERNATIONAL UK CHAPTER Registered Charity Number: 1120310

-

MEMBERS CHURCH OF GOD INTERNATIONAL UK CHAPTER Registered Charity Number: 1120310
Grants with Performance
Where the charity gives a grant with conditions for its payment being a specific level of service or output to be provided, such grants are only recognized in the SoFA once the recipient of the grant has provided the specified service or output.
Grants payable without Performance Conditions
These are only recognized in the accounts when a commitment has been made and there are no conditions to be met relating to the grant which remains in the control of the charity.
Support Costs
Support costs include central functions and have been allocated to activity cost categories on a basis consistent with resource usage, e.g., property costs by floor area, staff costs by time spent, and other costs according to their usage.

| Freehold Property | ] | Nil |
|---|---|---|
| Motor Vehicle | ] | Straight Line Basis |
| Fixtures & Fittings | ] | Straight Line Basis |
| Computer Equipment | ] | Straight Line Basis |
