Members Church of God International U K Chapter is mainly staffed by its own volunteers.

SUMMARY OF MAIN ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE

Different chapters have been set up namely in London, Working, Leeds, Gloucestershire, and the Isle of Man. Also, to mention those outside the U K namely Paris, Spain, Italy, Norway, Netherlands, Germany and Switzerland, and the other countries in Europe.

These chapters were opened to accommodate the brethren and visitors in all the gatherings and activities. Bible expositions (a larger scope of bible study) were conducted to reach more people in order to preach the gospel, wherein people who have questions and queries regarding faith and religion are answered and explained, and everything is taken from the bible.

In addition, early 2008, when broadcast entitled El Camino Antiguo in Spanish, O Caminho Antigo in Portuguese have started in 2008 until present where members from the United Kingdom have partook by supporting financially in these broadcasts. These led people to know the preaching of the full gospel hosted by Bro Ramon Bernardo.

Business Review and Future Developments

The state of the member's affairs and the results for the period are as per the attached financial statements that indicate that there were no deficits in the year and funding has remained stable.

The Members have also commenced broadcasts through the mass media.

Responsibilities of Trustees and Management Committee members

The appointed trustees remain in place Appointments of committees and the heads of members have been agreed as well. Their responsibilities are to administer in the Chapter of the church as decided and directed by the

president and vice president minister of the church worldwide.

The trustees meet monthly, but the management committees meet weekly.

Risk Management

Trustees conduct an annual review of the major risks to which the charity is exposed.

The Members Church of God International U K Chapter that they are not at risk from any element and that donations are expected to rise during the coming years despite any recession as the membership increases.

Our Main Activities are:

We focus on the continuous spread of the words of God in the Bible, to all people by doing charity work not only in the U K but funds being extended to Africa and the Philippines to help mainly our brethren but also nonmembers who are also in need.

We conduct free bible studies to those that are interested and give free Bible and information leaflets and blogs.

Achievements and Performances

We have achieved all our targets during the year and hope to build on this year’s foundation to help and support our members through broadcasts to reach more people in the U K and Europe. The introduction of our broadcasts will increase pledges, donations and as people take interest in our activities and join the Church who will help and support the Church’s objective

Plans for the Future

The coming year will see more emphasis placed on providing more religious broadcasts that will be shown around the world.

This we hope will generate more interest in Members Church

Trustees Financial Responsibilities

The trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustee’s Report and the financial statements in accordance with applicable law and United Kingdom accounting standards.

They are required to:

Select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently;

Observe the methods and principles in the Charities SORP.

Make judgments and estimates that are reasonable and prudent.

State whether applicable UK Accounting Standards have been followed, subject to any departures disclosed and explained in the financial statements on a going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the charity will continue in business.

The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records that disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time, the financial position of the charity. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities

1 BASIS OF PREPARATION

a Basis of accounting

These accounts have been prepared based on historic costs (except that investments are shown as market value) in accordance with:

Accounting and Reporting by Charities - Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP 2005) and with the Charities Act 1993.

There has been no change to the accounting policies since last year and no changes to the previous year’s accounts.

2 INCOMING RESOURCES

a Recognition of Incoming Resources

These are included in the Statement of Financial Activities (SoFA) when:

The charity becomes entitled to the resources.

The trustees are virtually certain they will receive the resources, and

The monetary value can be measured with sufficient reliability.

b Incoming Resources with Related Expenditure

Where incoming resources have related expenditure (as with fundraising or contract income) the incoming resources and related expenditure are reported gross in the SoFA.

c Grants and Donations

Grants and donations are only included in the SoFA when the charity has unconditional entitlement to the. resources.

d Tax reclaims on Donations and Gifts

Incoming resources from tax reclaims are included in the SoFA at the same time as the gift to which they relate.

e Contractual Income and Performance Related Grants

This is only included in the SoFA once the related goods or services have been delivered.

f Gifts in Kind

Gifts in kind are accounted for at a reasonable estimate of their value to the charity or the amount actually realized.

Gifts in kind for sale or distribution are included in the accounts as gifts only when sold or distributed by the charity.

Gifts in kind for use by the charity are included in the SoFA as incoming resources when receivable.

g Donated Services and Facilities

These are only included in incoming resources (with an equivalent amount in resources expended) where the benefit to the charity is reasonably quantifiable, measurable, and material. The value placed on the resources is the estimated value to the charity of the service or facility received.

The value of any voluntary help received is not included in the accounts but is described in the trustees’ annual report.

This is included in the accounts when received.

This includes any gain or loss from the sale of investments and any gain or loss resulting from revaluing investments to market value at the end of the year.

Liabilities are recognized as soon as there is a legal or constructive obligation committing the charity to pay out resources.

Include costs of the preparation and examination of statutory accounts, the cost of trustee meetings, and the cost of any legal advice to trustees on governance or constitutional matters

Where the charity gives a grant with conditions for its payment being a specific level of service or output to be provided, such grants are only recognized in the SoFA once the recipient of the grant has provided the specified service or output.
