We have used<br>the income to contribute towards the cost of the following in the<br>period under review:<br>SPA Scooby:dog food for the rescued galgos in residence.<br>Limerick Animal Welfare:vet fees for preparing greyhounds pre-<br>adoption (mainly skin and dental treatments); veterinary equipment<br>including a steel table and vet medical gas.<br>Greyhound Rescue:kennel heating repair; dog food; and vet fees<br>including limb amputation for a rescued greyhound battling cancer.<br>We collect donated dog food, bedding and towels which the<br>Trustees transport at own cost to Greyhound Rescue in Boston.<br>We refer applications for adoptions to Greyhound Rescue (UK ex-<br>racing greyhounds) and to SPA Scooby (Spanish galgos).  We help<br>with adoption assessments and rescue back-up advice.|

We ensure our expenses are kept to a<br>reasonable minimum in order to maximise funds available and<br>target the money to the heart of the welfare and rehab needs of<br>rescued greyhounds/galgos and the rescue facilities they use,<br>ensuring our financial contribution makes a tangible difference as<br>detailed above in the Objectives & Activities section.<br>We have been able to afford to add value to the rescue facilities<br>for tens of greyhounds/galgos per capita.<br>A very significant impact this year was our funding of the majority<br>of the vet fee for the limb amputation for the greyhound suffering<br>from cancer.  This was significant surgery and gave the<br>greyhound a chance of survival.|
