It is my responsibility to state, on the basis of procedures specified in the General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners, whether particular matters have come to my attention. ## **Basis of independent examiner’s report** My examination was carried out in accordance with the Statement of Standards for Reporting Accountants. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity, and making such limited enquiries of the officers of the charity as we considered necessary for the purpose of the report. procedures provide only the assurance expressed in our opinion. These accounts are prepared under the historical cost convention and include the results of the charity's operations which are described in the Trustee's Report and all of which are continuing. ## _**1.2 Donations and fund accounting funds**_ Donations received for the general aims of the Charity are included as unrestricted funds. Donations restricted by the wishes or aims of the donor are classified as “restricted”. ## _**1.3 Resources expended**_ Resources expended are included in the Statement of Financial Activities on a payments basis, inclusive of any irrecoverable VAT. ## _**1.4. Movements in shareholders funds**_ Yewdale Counselling Services is a private company limited by guarantee without a share capital and therefore there are no shareholders funds. ## _**Debtors**_ Short term debtors are measured at transaction price (which is usually the invoice price), less any impairment losses for bad and doubtful debts.
