3.8 Church Premises
In its long journey of nearfy 30 years of spiritual services, the Church has been a
tenant at various host Churches and its major or main expense has been payment of
rent for use of premises and hall hiring costs during special events such as spiritual
conferences. Wth its limited resources, the congregation has a long vision and
prayers in order to acquire its own premises. During this term, the congregation
elected a Premises Acquisition Team, sought infonnation to further the research
conducted by a volunteer professional a few years ago, sought guidan￿ from the
charity commission for direction as to how to go about this and consulted contscted
the Evangelical Allian￿ (affiliate institution) for source of professional assistance. It
has been working with Edward Connors Solicitors who have been helping to change
the ststus of the Church form unincorporated Charity organisation to incorporated
charity organisation to have the right legal status to own a propety, and are working
with our assigned contact person from among senior members. This is currently in
good process going in the right direction. To this end, members have made a
commitment of a year long special donation which most have nearly completed to
see our financial position towards this golden vision with the help of Lord God
Almighty.
