||wereretrcenttore-join when wewererestricted to small, socially<br>distanced.rehearsajs. ln addition to someprevious membersreturning<br>fromJanuary,we continuetoreceive enquiries from potential new<br>playersindifferentsections oftheband whoareinvited totaster|
||rehearsals before dectdingiftheywouldliketo becomeweBmembers.|
||Thecurrent playingmembershipis48players.|
||Returningtoregular performances has beenakey part of the year, with|
||theband hosting concerts at St Chaci's Church, Romiiey,oniith|
||December2a21and2ndApril2022, and twoafternoonconcerts at the|
||carverTheatre,Marple, on2ndJune2022. These concerts were aimed at|
||a younger famiiy auciience,inciuclingthepremiere oftheLinieReclcap,|
||aretellingof LittleRed Riding Hood for narrator andwindband|
||ThewernethSwingBandalsorestarted rehearsals inseptember2022<br>ancijoineclthemainbancjin theirchristmasconcert,which was weii|
||received. The Swing Band hosted theirownsocial and fundraising event|
||on18thJune, a fish andchipsupper night withentertainmentprovidedby<br>ihebancj. Hoiclingtiris at ourownprenrises proved a popuiar choiseand|
||itwasgoodtosee thefacilities beingused for thistypeof activity.|
||Part of the active development ofthe membershiphas included<br>or-gar-risir-rgactivitiesbeyor-rd'iior-iiiai'r-eirear-saisai-rr.iper-for'rt-raircesio|
||increase the sense of communityandstrengthenfriendshipsbetween|
||members.Thishas includedsocialrehearsals at the end of eachterm|
||withmoi-etime deriicatedtosociaiising andinixii-rgbetweensectior-rs as|
||wellas an organised group visittoa performance bytheManchester|
||Concert Orchestra.|
