We have continued with our established financial accounting and reporting
arrangements. We have had additional support and advice from a qualified
accountant.

We have supported 121 students for educational fees during 2024

We have supported orphans & widows in their healthcare

WORK has supported local groups of artisan workers to develop and become
more sustainable.
7.
St Bakhita MHC has initiated a local committee to ensure the Community and
the local areas are being well served for all aspects of health care – including
outreach education.
8.
We have further developed our project to support and care for vulnerable
pregnant teenage girls and their babies – the Kangaroo project.
9.
Our Gift Aid scheme continues to grow and gives us a return from donations
10. We have 145 sponsors who regularly donate money, the majority by standing
order and a further 67 supporters who assist in a variety of ways including the
100 club
11. WORK has provided Sanitary pads to over 3000 girls to keep them in full time
school.
12. The water outlet in Misikhu has been extended to provide additional clean water
to a wider local Community
13. WORK has built and equipped a new Children’s ward and a new Male ward for
St Bakhita MHC
14. The female ward at St Bakhita MHC has been upgraded to offer improved care.
15. WORK has provided a fully equipped - off road - ambulance for St Bakhita MHC
and the surrounding Community
16. WORK financially supports a total of 149 widows. 3 new groups in the Busia
area are in the early stages of forming…..
17. WORK has provided full care to a group of homeless street boys. They are
housed in a safe environment and starting school in 2025

other personal requirements of children in education. We also have used financial
reserves (any excess income over expenditure) for capital investment as outlined above.
We have limited administrative costs and as one specific donor covers our costs for
administration, we are proud of our record in transferring all monies donated to assist
