The registered charity in Kenya called Widows & Orphans Trust (WOT) has two UK Trustees of WORK as Board Members.

We have had additional support and advice from a qualified<br>accountant.<br>3.<br>Funds raised:  see accounts<br>4.<br>We have supported 121 students for educational fees during 2024<br>5.<br>We have supported orphans & widows in their healthcare<br>6.<br>WORK has supported local groups of artisan workers to develop and become<br>more sustainable.<br>7.<br>St Bakhita MHC has initiated a local committee to ensure the Community and<br>the local areas are being well served for all aspects of health care – including<br>outreach education.<br>8.<br>We have further developed our project to support and care for vulnerable<br>pregnant teenage girls and their babies – the Kangaroo project.<br>9.<br>Our Gift Aid scheme continues to grow and gives us a return from donations<br>10. We have 145 sponsors who regularly donate money, the majority by standing<br>order and a further 67 supporters who assist in a variety of ways including the<br>100 club<br>11. WORK has provided Sanitary pads to over 3000 girls to keep them in full time<br>school.<br>12. The water outlet in Misikhu has been extended to provide additional clean water<br>to a wider local Community<br>13. WORK has built and equipped a new Children’s ward and a new Male ward for<br>St Bakhita MHC<br>14. The female ward at St Bakhita MHC has been upgraded to offer improved care.<br>15. WORK has provided a fully equipped - off road - ambulance for St Bakhita MHC<br>and the surrounding Community<br>16. WORK financially supports a total of 149 widows. 3 new groups in the Busia<br>area are in the early stages of forming…..<br>17. WORK has provided full care to a group of homeless street boys. They are<br>housed in a safe environment and starting school in 2025<br>18. An external auditor has undertaken an audit of Accounts.|

||Any carry over in our annual statement of accounts is mainly used to top up fees and<br>other personal requirements of children in education. We also have used financial<br>reserves (any excess income over expenditure) for capital investment as outlined above.<br>We have limited administrative costs and as one specific donor covers our costs for<br>administration, we are proud of our record in transferring all monies donated to assist<br>beneficiaries in Kenya.|
