The financial statements comply with the Chsrities Act 2011. the Companies Act 2006 and Accounting and Reporting by Charities-. Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with Financial Reporting Standard 102. The Richard Dawkins Foundation for Reason and Science Ltd ('RDFRS UK,) is a charitable company limited by shares. incorporated in England and Wales. The trustees (who are also the directors for company purposes) who served during the year and since the year end are". Prof Richard Dawkins Claire Enders Trustees are selected, as required, to fill particular skill requirements on the board of trustees. Objectives and actlvltles for the publlc beneflt The RDFRS UK objects, set out in its Memorandum and Articles of Association, are: The mentsl and moral improvement of the human race by means of the advancement of rationalism and humanism., The advancement of education and in particular the study of rationalism. humanism and science and the dissemination of knowledge of their principles. and Such exclusively charitable purposes as the trustees may in their absolute discretion determine. Publlc benefit The trustees confirm that in undertaking their activities they have had regard to the Charity Commission's general guidance on public benefit. Achievements and performance This year has seen RDFRS UK continuing to be active on a number of fronts in carrying out activities in furtherance of its charitable aims. We provided speakers at conferences and funded other events which were aimed at advanciT)g rationalism. The foundation also contributed towards the costs of producing events and online access to, and media of, public conversations between Richard Dawkins and various religious and secular personalities to help ensure maximum aCsS to the ideas discussed. or debated there. Dr Dawkins undertook a major lecture tour of 22 cities in America. Belgium, the Netherlands, Ireland, Dubai. and Britain, as well as remotely by Zoom etc. A highlight was the presentation of the Richard Dawkins Award to Brian Cox, the brilliant science communicator. The year has seen the consolidation of Dr Dawkins's podcast and associated substack and Youtube channel. all under the title "The Poetry of Reality" We made a donation of $25,000 (c. £19.000) to the US branch of the Richard Dawkins Foundation. to promote our work in America on education (specifically our Teacher Institute for Evolutionary Science, teaching Midldle School teachers in all 50 states how to teach evolution) and the Translations Project (translating biology books into the languages of the Islamic world for free download). Numerous international media interviews were also conducted providing current thought and positions of the foundation and its membership with organizations such as the BBC as well as both TV and Radio media in Europe, and the United States. The RDFRS also maintains a vigorous social media presence with an °Official" RDFRS Facebook page at RDFRS UK. the latter bring managed by Paula Kirby of consultants Cause and Effect. Now an integral part of CFI. and able to utilize its larger resources. the RDFRS now focuses primarily on becoming a hub for direct contact with Richard's daily efforts. Queries specific to the UK and EU are now the primary fvnction of the office, increasing our base as well as our abilities to reach wider audiences under wider format possibilities in both the UK and the EU. Related parties RDFRS US is a separate legal entity, with its own board of Trustees (Richard Dawkins is the only trustee who sits on the boards of both organisations). its own team of staff and volunteers. its own policies and activities. and its own website. reflecting the different social and legal context in the United States. The two foundations share the same mission. It has merged with the Center for Inquiry {CFI) within which it remains under the CFI umbrella. Richard Dawkins Limited is a separate legal entity, with its own board of directors (Richard Dawkins is the only director who sits on the boards of both organisations), its own team of staff and volunteers. its own policies and activities, and its own website, the provision of academic and literary services. Flnanclal Review The charity seeks to maintain free reserves sufficient to cover operating costs for six months. At present the level of reserves is sufficient although reserves have de-creased during the year and at 30 April 2024 the charity had reserves of £77,913 (2023: £76,165). The trustees wish to continue to establish the charity and Richard Dawkins Limited. the main creditor, will continue to support the charity and as such the accounts are prepared on a going concern basis. The Richard Dawkins Foundation for Reason and Science Limited meets the definition of a public benefit entity under FRS 102. Fund accountlng Unrestricted funds are funds which are available for use atthe discretion of the Trustees in furtherance of the general objectives of the charity and which have not been designated for other purposes. Restricted funds are funds which the donors have earmarked for a particular purpose. Income All income is included in the SOFA when the charity is legally entitled to the income. the amount can be quantified with reasonable accuracy and receipt of the income is considered probable. Donated facilities are included at the value to the charity where this can be quantified and a third party is bearing the cost. No amounts are included in the financial statements for services donated by volunteers. Expenditure All expenditure is accounted for on an accruals basis and is recognised when there is a legal or constructive obligation to make 8 payment to a thircl paty. it is probable that settlement will be required and the amount of the obligation can be measured reliably. Expenditure includes any VAT which cannot be fully recovered. and is reported as p8rt of the expenditure to which it relatos. Expenditure has been classified under headings that aggregate all costs related to the category. Where costs cannot be directly attributed to particular headings they have been allocated to activities on a basis consistent with the use of those resources. Debtors and creditors receivablelpayable within one year Debtors and creditors are recorded at transaction price. Tangible fixed assets and depreciation Tangible fixed assets are capitalised and included at cost including any incidental expenses of acquisition. Depreciation of fixed assets is calculated to write off their cost or valuation less any residual value over their estimated useful lives as follows.. Related party transactlons At the year end, the balance due to Richard Dawkins Limited was £184,060 (2023.. £184.060). Prof R Dawkins is a director of both RDFRS UK and Richard Dawkins Limited. At the year end, the balance due from RDFRS US was £144.000 (2023: £144,000). Prof R Dawkins is trustee of RDFRS US and RDFRS UK. RDFRS US is a legally separate organization. It has merged with the Centre for Inquiry (CFI) within which it remains under the CFI umbrella and is extremely active promoting the same aims as RDFRS US but in America. Donations tolalling £19,911 (2023: £44,218) were paid to CFI during the year. Page 9

Responslbilities and basis of report As the charity trustees of the company (and also its directors for the purposes of company law) you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Companies Act 2006 ('the 2006 Act,). Having satisfied myself that the accounts of the company are not required to be audited under Part 16 of the 2006 Act and are eligible for independent examination, I report in respect of my examination of your company's accounts as carried out under section 145 of the Charities Act 2011 ('the 2011 Act,). In carrying out my examination I have followed the Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the 2011 Act. Independent examiner's statement I have completed my examination.
