**Objects:** THE OBJECTS OF THE CHARITY ARE:(A)  THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE USE AND DEVELOPMENT OF LANGUAGE AND OF COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS AND TOOLS (INCLUDING THE MAKATON PROGRAMME) FOR THE BENEFIT OF PERSONS WITH ACTUAL OR ANTICIPATED LEARNING OR COMMUNICATION DIFFICULTIES IN ALL PARTS OF THE WORLD AND THOSE WHO COMMUNICATE WITH THEM; AND (B)  SUCH OTHER CHARITABLE PURPOSES AS THE TRUSTEES SHALL FROM TIME TO TIME DECIDE.

**Activities:** Makaton is the UK's leading language programme for children and adults with communication or learning difficulties. Makaton uses signs, symbols and speech to develop communication, language and literacy skills. The Makaton Charity provides advice, training, and resources for families, carers and professionals. We work to share our knowledge and influence society to improve communication for all.
