NEST AYLESBURY VALE LIMITED CHAIR'S REPORT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31st MARCH 2025 Chairfs Annual Review April 2024- March 2025 This year Nest has seen a year of change, with an ever-increasing number of referrals together with the news that both Shushana and Sheena were stepping away. As Chair, and on behalf of the Trustees, volunteers and all of our families, I would like to thank both Shushana and Sheena for their quite extraordinary support, kindness and understanding that they have offered to all. It is an amazing legacy they leave behind, with countless families helped through all manner of challenges and all benefitting from their hard work. The mantle has now been passed to Tammy and Jess to continue, and build, upon this outstanding record. Nest has, again, attracted an ever-increasing number of enquiries which has meant that the team is still very busy, both a sign of the crucial need for Nest as well as a sign of the faith shown in the charity by the team at Bucks County Council. Following yet more superb fundraising efforts we have had a series of generous donations including Heart of Bucks, the William Harding foundation, T&S Williams, ESRI UK, Kop Hill climb, Fairhive Homes, Stockwell Cliffe, our continued support from Pledge and Promise donors, Buckinghamshire Lottery supporters and other private donors. A special mention must go to Eliza Norris, daughter of one of our volunteers Tracey, who ran the Copenhagen Marathon for Nest and raised a magnificent £1,225. We are so grateful for the generosity of all our sponsors. It has been another year of outstanding support from all our volunteers. On behalf of the families, we thank you for your continued support which means so much to so many, Once again, I remain amazed at how Nest and its volunteers manage to help so many struggling families, week in, week out. Thank you, all. With very best wishes AJ Thompson Chair NEST Aylesbury Vale Report and Accounts 2024-2025 Page I

NEST AYLESBURY VALE LIMITED REPORT OF THE TRUSTEES FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31st MARCH 2025 Publlc Benefit In setting its plans and priorities for areas of work, the trustees have had regard to the guidance from the charity commission on public statement of benefit. The summary of achievements demonstrates how NEST Aylesbury Vale has set out to fulfil its principal charitable objective, that is: the relief of children or parents in despair or in distress and the prevention of emotional, physical or mental abuse of such children. Management of Service Nest Aylesbury Vale is managed by a committee of Trustees who are representatives from the local community, with a commitment to Nest Aylesbury Vale's core beliefs. The Trustees employ a Co- ordinator for 30 hours a week to recruit, train, support and manage the team of volunteers who work with the families. The Co-ordinator is supported by an administrator who works 15 hours per week. ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE During the period I" April 2024 to 31" March 2025, 43 families have been individually supported (20 rural - 23 town). Of these, 20 came from health visitor referral, 17 were self-referral with 6 from other sources. Our reviewing process demonstrated that their needs were significantly improved or fully met. A total of 20 home-visiting volunteers were involved in supporting families during this period. FINANCIAL REVIEW Reserves Policy Nest Aylesbury Vale has budgeted and controlled its finances so that all likely expenses for up to three months are capable of being met out of cash resources currently held. In addition, a reserve is necessary to cover rent up to the next break point and any other statutory payments. In total this equates to approximately six months, expenditure. However, the timing and amount of grants received can increase this by up to a further six months, which means that our total reserves can fluctuate between six months and a full year. The present level of reserves represents approximately seventeen months, activity at our current level, due to a high level of grants received in the last month of the year. The level is expected to fall markedly over the course of the current year. There are no material commitments or expenditure planned which are not included in the balance sheet and have not been deducted from the assets in calculating the reserves.
