The Trustees submit their report and the examined financial statements for the year ended 30" June 2025.

The Trust was established by a Trust Deed dated 21 May 2005 and registered with the Charities Commission on 7" June 2007.

Objectives and Activities

The Trust was established as a vehicle through which it can operate its charitable activities. Under the Deed monies are held by the Trust for the relief of the poor and needy or such other charitable purposes as the Club shall, in duly constituted meeting, from time to time decide.

Governance

The Trustees ensure that the Club considers all proposed donations and requests for help or assistance received by the members of the Club, and that they are duly approved as necessary and recorded in the accounts and in the Club and Trust Records.

Activities, Performance and Financial Position

During the year, activities included two main fund raising events, these being the Watermead Charity Run through Watermead Park in Leicestershire and collections at Christmas using our Santa Sleigh and at selected Supermarkets in the area. These, along with various other smaller activities, were carried out successfully and with grants from Rotary District enabled us to raise in excess of £25000. Funds raised enabled us to purchase and donate two major pieces of equipment to aid MND patients at the LOROS Hospice in Leicester. The cost of these were in excess of £7000, and were purchased using our own funds and supported, as mentioned above, by a Rotary District 1070 grant. In addition to the two main item donations above we continued to support local charities, social clubs and youth groups to the tune of £12500 in total.

Rotarians, their families and other volunteers have given an unquantifiable number of hours to organise, assist with and deliver our activities in support of many charitable causes and we remain indebted to them for their help.

Reserves Policy

The Trustees retain sufficient reserves to safeguard the Trust and Club activities for the forseeable future. There are no significant ongoing financial commitments and the cost of running the Trust are minimal. The Trustees therefore consider they have an adequate level of Reserves to enable the Trust to continue its activities and charitable support and review this policy each year.

Risk Management

;

The Trustees are responsible for considering and overseeing the risks faced by the Trust. Safeguards are put in place both financial and activity based to ensure the safe delivery of the Trust and Club activities, many of these Safeguards and Policies are also in line with the requirements of Rotary International and our District governing body.

Statement of Trustees Responsibilities

The Trustees are responsible for keeping accounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy the financial position of the Trust and ensuring the records comply with applicable law, regulations and the Trust Deed. They are also responsible for the safeguarding of the Trust assets and taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.

Declaration

The Trustees declare that they have approved the Trustees report above.
