Trustee Meeting
Minutes of meeting held on Friday August 18[th] 2023 at 12.00pm.
Present : Margaret Young, Peter White, Caroline Spencer, (Peter Roberts Treasurer).

S.O.S. future / New Kennels : M.Y. discussed the possible options that SOS may wish to consider moving forward after notice was given for the remaining 2 dogs which had to leave Old Park Farm.

Rent a suitable property
The trustees discussed the possibility of registering an interest with a range of estates to see if there were any available either now or in the future, within a budget of £24-28K per year. Once we are successful, then SOS would launch an appeal. Following on from our recent ‘kennel appeal’ we have approximately £800 collected so far.
M.Y. also spoke about there could be possibly 2 interested parties who were willing to live at the property to look after the dogs in our care.
The trustees decided that an official email / letter will be sent to the following:
Mulgrave Estates/ Egton Est. / Skelton Est. / Zetland Est. There is currently a property with Mulgrave Estates up for rent so it is planned that we register an interest in this with P.R./M.Y to go ahead and view.
New committee members: Trustees discussed to possibility of inviting members onto the committee in order to help with fundraising ideas etc.
It was proposed that we hold a dog show over in Whitby to help support SOS as we currently don’t have one.
The accounts have been audited by Deborah Fletcher.

It was agreed that our AGM will take place on Sunday 13[th] September
