The charity is run by an Executive Council formed by the Trustees and five other volunteers acting as council members. The executive council meets every month to discuss items concerning the charity. Any key decisions to be voted on are included on the Agenda of the forthcoming meeting circulated beforehand for discussion and approval. All meetings are minuted. In its monthly meeting, the council usually reviews: Report by Projects Committee on aid programs provided by the charity. Review of Accounts, assessment of the finances of the charity, planned or future fund-raising events, correspondence and communications with the Charity plus any other business are discussed at the meeting. Minutes are taken and circulated as a true record of that meeting. These are considered during discussions. The main activities are those of fundraising and grant making to carefully selected programs detailed in this section. Once approved, a supervisor, nominated by the local church hierarchy to oversee the distribution of aid funds at the beneficiary destination, is identified and appointed to monitor the project progress, aid distribution and to report back to the charity on a regular basis. The Myrrh-Bearers: The Myrrh Bearers Fraternity are consecrated lay women have taken upon themselves to help the poor and the marginalized families forced to abandon their homes and seek refuge in the north of Iraq. Baghdad educational program, This program supports students at different stages of their education, from primary school to university level. Our Lady of Carmel School for refuges children in Amman, Jordan providing primary education for over 200 children. Mercy Care Home in Kirkuk, providing shelter to the abandon elderly and handicapped. Telskuf Student transport assistant, help with cost of transport of needy university students. Medical aid to needy patients in Northern Iraq, medicines and hospitalization. The Charity celebrated its 17[th] year During the years ICIN has increasingly gained the trust of the general public by following a policy of transparency and openness with its finances and donations received. ICIN has also followed a strict policy in its choice of projects and grants awards, ensuring at all times that funds are utilized for the purpose for which they are intended. Each program of aid in closely monitored and is reviewed regularly at Executive council meetings. The charity has adhered to its objective in providing help to the needy displaced Iraqi Christians.
