Section D Achievements and performance

## **Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year**

There were no capital projects or major activities this year, however activities did include:

- repairs to broken tiles

- two work days by the trustees to assist with maintaining the grounds

- the painting of the kitchen store rooms by the trustees with antimould paint and the fitting of an extract fan

- the replacement of the light to the Gents toilet lobby

The COVID 19 lockdown required The Old School to cease hiring in March 2019. Our income was depleted by the loss of hiring income and the continued payments for cleaning and grounds maintenance. However Oakley Parish Council and Oakley Day Care maintained their payments, and The Oakley Charities who we pay rent to agreed to waive rent payments during lockdown. We also benefitted from a grant from Bedford Borough Council.
