2022. principally due lo reduced grant funding.

The Trust's reserves at 31 December 2023 are all held for th¢ Purpose of sustaining the Bury Si Edmund5
Guildhall. The Trnsi¢es aim lo maintain a level of reseryes adeqtsa¢e lo ensure the ong¥oing fuiure of the
Guildhall.

After making appropriaie enquiries the I￿￿e¢S have a reasonable ¢xpectation ihai Ihe charity has adequate
rcsouTces lo ¢ontinue in OF¢rntional exislence for ihe foreseeable fvture and meets 115 obligaiions under current
proj¢¢is. For this reason they continue io adopi the going concern basis in pr¢parin8 the financial Statements.

The resirictions imposed as a result of th¢ Covid 19 pandemi¢ led the Guildhall to suspend many of ils
operations in 2020. Many evenls and bookings were rM)Stponed uniil 2021122 and the charity received grdnl
funding in this period. Ev¢nts, venue hire and oth¢r income picked up in 2021 and hav¢ continued this trend in
2023.

income and expendilure is sufficienl with ihe level ofre5¢rve5 for the charily to be abl¢ lo continu¢ a5 a
going concern.
