Activities
Hear Me Out brings people living in immigration detention centres together with professional musicians and people living in the community, to create and perform powerful artistic work, and convey it to new audiences through live and recorded performance, thereby increasing wellbeing and empathy, and helping change attitudes to migrants.
Objects: 1 The Promotion And Protection Of The Physical And Mental Health Of Immigrants And Asylum Seekers, With Particular Reference To Those Detained Under Immigration Laws, Through The Provision Of Music And Other Activities.2 The Advancement Of Education Of The Public About The Position And Experience Of Immigration Detainees, And The Promotion Of Good Community Relations Between People Of Diverse Backgrounds, With Particular Reference To Those Living In Disadvantaged Communities, Through The Provision Of Music And Other Activities.3 The Advancement Of Education Of The Public, In Particular But Not Exclusively, Current And Former Immigration Detainees, In The Creative Arts.
