Reserves Policy

The board believe that the sustainability of the charity is of critical importance, particularly in the current challenging fundraising environment. It is viewed therefore that an appropriate policy is to endeavour to establish and maintain reserves to a level of c. 50% of the anticipated annual expenditure of the Company if it is reasonably practicable to do so. ,

On Sunday 18! September, the traffic on the Cowley Road stopped, everyday life put aside, and the road reverberated to the exuberance, rhythm and colours of. Carnival. : This year’s theme “Our Nature, Our Future” was embraced and sawa terrific interpretation from a wide cross section of the East Oxford community. .The[ weather] was very kind and aided the success of what was a very vibrant. and energetic carnival.

Future Plans

The organisation is struggling to rebuild the organisation from the decline that it _ experienced during the pandemic and in the years immediately after it. The organisation is determined to make some key decisions this year with regard to the future of the organisation.

1 Accounting policies

1.2 Income

Income is included in the Statement of Financial Activities (SoFA) when : - the charity becomes entitled to the resources - the trustees are virtually certain that they will receive the resources; and - the monetary value can be measured with sufficient reliability

1.4 Governance costs

Governance costs include the preparation and examination of statutory accounts, the cost of trustee meetings and the cost of any legal advice to trustees on governance or constitutional matters.

2 Taxation

The charity is a charitable institution with exemption from UK taxation under section 505 of the Income and Corporation Taxes Act 1988.
