**Objects:** The objects of the Charity are to promote the following purposes for the benefit of the public and/or older people within the Isle of Wight:preventing or relieving the poverty of older people;advancing education;preventing or relieving sickness, disease or suffering (whether emotional, mental or physical);promoting equality and diversity;promoting the human rights of older people in accordance with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights;assisting older people in need by reason of ill-health, social exclusion or other disadvantage; andsuch other charitable purposes for the benefit of older people as the Directors from time to time decide;the outcome of this being the promotion of the well-being of older people.Nothing in these Articles shall authorise an application of the Charity's property for purposes which are not charitable in accordance with section 7 of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and/or section 2 of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008.

**Activities:** With a focus on people in later life, Age Concern Isle of Wight provides information, advice and practical support to promote wellbeing, resilience and independence so that people can live in our Island community free from poverty, isolation and neglect.
