**Objects:** FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC GENERALLY AND, IN PARTICULAR, THE INHABITANTS OF TYNE AND WEAR, NORTHUMBERLAND AND THEIR SURROUNDING AREAS:-1. TO RELIEVE THE SUFFERING OF BIRDS WHO ARE IN NEED OF CARE ATTENTION AND REHABILITATION IN PARTICULAR BY THE PROVISION AND MAINTENANCE OF A SANCTUARY OR RESCUE HOME OR OTHER SUCH FACILITIES FOR THE RECEPTION, CARE AND REHABILITATION OF SUCH BIRDS; AND2. TO PROMOTE HUMANE BEHAVIOUR TOWARDS BIRDS BY PROVIDING APPROPRIATE CARE, PROTECTION, TREATMENT AND SECURITY FOR BIRDS WHICH ARE IN NEED OF CARE AND ATTENTION FOR ANY REASON FOR ANY REASON AND TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC IN MATTERS PERTAINING TO THE WELFARE OF BIRDS IN GENERAL BY PROMOTING THE STUDY AND PROTECTION OF BIRDS.

**Activities:** We have two  aims: first to care for injured wild birds of prey. Our other purpose is educational; we visit schools and take a selection of our captive bred indigenous birds of prey. These we use to show the students the birds adaptations to their specific habitat and hunting requirements and to highlight the need for conservation and environmental awareness.
