Trustees Report
The trustees present their annual report and financial statements for the year ended 31 December 2023.
Objectives and Activities
The advancement of the Christian Faith in accordance with the doctrines set out in the schedule and the worship of God in Bedford/Kempston and elsewhere by any means whatsoever including (but not by limitation) the preaching and proclamation of the Christian Gospel and the teaching of Christian doctrine and principles and the pastoral care of Christian people and the distribution of Christian literature.
New Life Christian Fellowship (Bedford) continues to operate financially as an independent trust. The organisations activities include Sunday meetings and children's Sunday school. A variety of mid-week discipleship and prayer meetings. Social and youth musical activities which are open to all. The building is also open during the week to counsel church members and other members of the local community.
Achievements and Performance
New Life Christian Fellowship (Bedford) continues to work in community to empower the local people of Bedford/Kempston and the wider community to take hold of their future and reach their full potential as individuals, spiritually, socially, economically and morally. We also support Bedford Food Bank on a regular basis.
Financial Review
Principal funding came through our members. The support of our members continues to be a source of great strength and has truly been sacrificial and it's through their donations and love for what they provide that keeps us going as an organisation.
Reserves Policy
We aim to build up reserves in order to keep a contingency fund in the bank to cover the ongoing costs of the charity and for the security of the organisation. We would also like to hold some funds so that we can act on a timely basis to a higher level of excellence and reach any given need effectively. We believe our responsibility is to promote the principles of the Church faith in our community whilst addressing social needs of humanity and lovingly support and serve our local community so we can live in a safe and cohort community

Independent Examiner’s report to the Trustees For year ended 31 December 2023
Respective Responsibilities of Trustees and Independent Examiner
As the Trustees of New Life Christian Fellowship (Bedford) you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (‘the Act’).
I report in respect of my examination of the charity’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the 2011 Act.
Independent examiner's statement
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with my examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:
1) the accounting records were not kept in respect of the charity as required by section 130 of the 2011 Act; or
2) accounts do not accord with those records, or
3) the accounts do not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of account as set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair view’ which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
