3 Judgements irsd key sources of ¢stimatioA uncertainty
Judgemeats
In the application of the charity'5 accounting policies. the Iruslees are required to make judgernents, estimates
and assumpiion5 about th¢ carrying amount of &5s¢ts and liabilities that are not readily apparent from other
sources. The estimaies and associated assumptions are based on hisiorkcal experience and other factors that are
considered to be relevanL Acwal results may differ from these estirnat¢S.
Th¢ estirywt¢s and Linderlying assumptions are reviewed ou an ongoing basis. Revisions to accounting estimates
are recognised in the period in which the estimate is revised where the revision aiTects only that period, or in the
period of the revision and futur¢ peTiods where the r¢vision affects both periods.
Key source5 of estifflation uncertsinty
The estimates and assumption5 which have a significant risk of ￿Using a maierial adjuslm¢nt to the wrying
amount of assets and liabilities are as follows.
Depreciation
The deprrfiation expense is the recognition of the decline in the value of the asset and allocaiion of the cost of
the asset over the periods in which th¢ asset will be used. Judgements are made as to th¢ ¢5tim3ted useful Itfe of
the assets. these are regularly reviewed to reflect the changing environmenL
Deferred and accrued income
Deferred and accrued income is based on the assumption that the amounts received or to be received are
recogniwj in the period in which the work was done. Any amounts estirnated are based on p￿t experiences and
amounts received after the y¢ar end. These judg¢ments ar¢ r¢gularly revi¢wed to r¢flect the changing
